I’m impressed with the depth of your thought process on this one. I bored of PF by 1978 so much of the detail is lost on me. I know little of Linn amplification other than a demo of their CD12 and Keltiks years ago, driven by their top of the range amplification at that time. Dull as ditchwater is my abiding memory.
Naim makes some wonderfully musical sources, and long may they keep producing them. Music is a thing for the heart and soul, and it’s perhaps a good idea to keep the head out of it, or at least not let it take control.
The artwork is actually a tryptic acoustic art panel from GIK Acoustics.
When purchasing art panels form GIK Acoustics, one can either supply ones own photos and artwork image, or select from a few different commercially licenced databases which GIK Acoustics provide via the Art Panel design tool section of their website.
I used the latter method (using the Dreamstime image database) for the art I selected (seven years ago) and by using the ‘reverse’ image lookup method I have located the original art and reference number)…
Ref: 122970153 (on the Dreamstime database).
Hope the above helps.
PS: Maybe auto correct changed ‘Edmund’ into ‘Edward’ in your posting - FYI my account name is ‘Edmund-of-Essex’.
Thanks Edmund, and no, the error was down to me . The reason I asked was that we have something similar, though much smaller, and I idly wondered if they were from the same source and if so, how the hell you’d got them back from Rocamadour
It’s nice to see a pair of QLN speakers. A few years ago I was about to get a demo of the Prestige 3, when a sudden change in distribution threw a wrench into things.
Funnily enough, I’m seriously thinking about the Prophecy 1’s to go with my Atom, and like the fact that they’re 6 ohms (would give me a bit of a power boost as a secondary benefit).
