You need to say where the LP that you have was pressed - almost certainly not Canada, I assume.
But congratulations on being the person to get the good LP that slipped through the net!

I’m not entirely sure how I’d know, although I did assume Canada. That said, I’m looking at the back of the sleeve, in the bottom left corner where the copyright information is given, the very last sentence says “Made in The Netherlands”. Do you think that’s the pressing site? Or is there something I should look for that n the dead wax?
Made in the Netherlands likely indicates it was pressed by Record Industry, so the same for the UK.

I understood all copies (or at least Europe, US and Canada - don’t know about Southern Hemisphere or Far East) of the remix are pressed at RI.
There are perfectly good copies, apparently. But getting one seems more of a lottery than it should be.
Sorry to hear of all the vinyl issues. This is the sort of music I’m happy to listen to hi rez digital files. I assume it was remixed in the digital domain and for me the trip back to vinyl isn’t all that interesting.
I do enjoy the materials that come with big box sets. The actual vinyl records are superfluous for me.

As far as I know ALL vinyl copies worldwide are being manufactured in the Netherlands – even the Japanese ones!
Just listened to my second copy. It’s as bad as the first but in different places. Sending it back and third time lucky.

The more I listen to this newer hi res version the more I prefer to the older hi res version. It’s much more realistic, separation, dynamics, range, all of it. It’s like a different album now.

I’m playing my LP copy as I type. Halfway through side 2 and… either I lucked out or someone has been paying attention - my copy is perfect! Only gripe is why no anti-static lining to the inner sleeve?? Otherwise a nice release. I’m not sure whether I prefer it to my original copy, or even the 2016 reissue. Someone definitely boosted the bass though, oh, and the photo book is a nice touch.

Did you make any special efforts to track down a ‘good’ copy, Richard, or have you just been lucky?
That said, I’m not sure what ‘special efforts’ might be.
It’d be nice to get a similar remix of DSOTM and The Wall.

I know DS better than The Wall, not in great detail admittedly as I’ve only bought my own copies pretty recently, but it sounds great as is to me.

Yeah, it took me 3 and the 3rd was not from Amazon. Finally got a good copy from my local Vinyl specialist reseller🙂

No special effort made here apart from delaying my purchase slightly in the hope that any LPs with issues were out of circulation by time mine was sent out.
Good to hear some decent copies are out there.
I’ve decided to order again - hopefully 4th time lucky.
