Sorry I’m hogging the thread so last one for now. Not funk but if your interested in the Rock n Roll, RnB that came out of New Orleans this is a pretty essential selection across 4 CD’s

Finally got volume 1 of Stax of Funk, as recommended by Richard Dane. An enjoyable introduction to a lot of new (to me) funk artists.
