Hi, you will need to switch off the Supernait, and disconnect the large link plug connecting the Pre-amp OUT and Power-amp IN sockets. Then you connect the HICAP via the supplied SNAIC5 and an additional SNAIC4. The SNAIC5 provides 2 x 24V DC power to the pre-amp of the Supernait and also takes the pre-map audio signal into the HICAP. Signal is then taken out of the HICAP into the power-amp section of the Supernait via the SNAIC4. Be sure that the banded ends are correctly orientated (always at source of music signal).

A green band usually indicates a SNAIC5, a white band a SNAIC4. Do be sure that any SNAICs are genuine Naim items. See the FAQ link I posted above.

The white banded one is definitely a SNAIC4 and I can see the Naim logo on the sheathing, so looks genuine.

The green banded one is less easy to distinguish as it doesn’t show the whole cable or ends.

Thanks, OK that looks like a 4-4 active lead. It is possible to use it here in place of the SNAIC4, but the SNAIC4 is what is specified by Naim so I would use that.
