Ah yes, a phrase you’ve used a few times on football related threads, most recently the World Cup one. A dismissal of when someone suggests your view may be incorrect. For clarity, hair-splitting is not the same as good old inaccuracy and mis-naming a thread twice when it’s easily looked up and you do actually know it anyway is as passive aggressive an act as it looks.
I believe I may have upset you by providing examples of clubs shaped by their managers. Sorry.

It’s not news, been expected all year, but I hope the delay was down to Chelsea aiming to convince him not to be such a knobhead or he’ll be moved on. I wouldn’t be surprised to see mild mannered Reece James kick him in the tenders…

No one on here talks about passive aggressive/ad hom as far as I can see other than you. Why do you think so many of your ‘discussions’ end up like that? Anyway, I’m drinking a lovely stout after my dip in the sea. Enjoy your evening.

The reality being that if “discussions” end up in ad hom aimed at me then some people who really think they’re above all that expose who they really are. I’m okay with that.
If you’re so used to no-one pricking your bubble or offering you an alternative to an opinion that the first response is ad hom rather than a reasoned discussion, or, think an opinion is justified because others, in what is essentially no different to any other social media echo chamber, agree with it then, again, I’m okay with that.
The Mighty Whites prevailed over Liverpool with four second half goals, earlier in Chicago.
I didn’t see the game, but winning, having gone in at half time 0-2 down, can’t be at all bad.

Two different teams and halves like us v Sunderland but certainly Areola’s squad looks very thin indeed defensively as that second half showed.
