As the Guimaraes deal drags on 16 year old Kyran Thomas is going the other way sad to see him go really but if it helps grease the wheels of the Guimaraes deal.
It’s a wonder Arsenal and Newcastle managed to pull off the move for the academy prospect seeing as they are not in contact with one another perhaps it was done by carrier pigeon.

This is a huge signing for us behind Rodri I would say Rice and Guimaraes are the two best in their positions in the Premier League. And only £75m that’s less than the Spuds paid for Fernandes.
Of course he doesn’t have the cheerleading skills of Jordan Henderson.

From what I’ve seen he’s good at falling over at the slightest touch (protecting the ball as my young grandson says) and “drawing” the foul, and generally breaking up play. Should fit in well. Let’s hope he has same impact as Isak.

The money being paid for Newcastle players who finished 12th last season, one of whom added little to a bang average Brazil side, is as much a surprise as the money being paid for Rogers & Anderson who were also bang average at the World Cup. Top 6 clubs have money to maintain their status by neutralising the rest of the league as much as by building exciting sides. Game’s gone as they say. The best transfers will be the clever bargain buys by the clubs who out perform their wage bills.

For all the part-time glory hunters out there, I really hope not. Unlike Isak, I find it hard to begrudge Bruno his last big move. Unlike at the Toon though, where he was the main man, he will be a bit-part player at Arsenal and I hope he doesn’t come to regret it…
Trust me Bruno Guimaraes walks straight into our first 11 he hasn’t been brought as a bit part player Arteta’s first choice midfield will be Declan Rice, Bruno Guimaraes and Martin Odegaard I’m not saying he’ll play every game but if fit he will play the important ones.
If Arsenal sign the right left sided attacker Bruno could very possibly end this season as a double Premier League, Champions League winner his contribution to Arsenal could be that big.
Of all our outgoings this summer, this one is the most painful. While he wasn’t the fastest he had an ability to hold onto the ball that our other midfielders couldn’t manage. He was instrumental in keeping us up and in all the good things since then so I wish him well, but I wish he had gone abroad!
I think you are correct though, he would be the first name on the team sheet at Newcastle, but I am not sure that will be the case at Arsenal.
On a similar note, I wonder how many games Henderson and Welbeck will actually start for Chelsea??
Hopefully Newcastle’s investment with the $240m+ raised so far this summer will bear some fruit. We still have Pope and Willock to offload and apparently big Joe wants away as well. Time to clear out the old wood and bring in the new.

Genuinely, it’ll be interesting to see how many games he starts. Not a guaranteed starter, like he was up here. I hope Bruno stays fit, on the bench, and I hope Arsenal and Arteta crash and burn next season.
I think Joe will go to Saudi Arabia and it looks like Murphy might be on his way to Everton. It is a huge transformation. The only real talent left to go to a Septic 6 club (with Livramento injured) is Hall, which I hope doesn’t happen. We really need some real experience, particularly in midfield. Another CH would help also (Scalvini?). I’m a little nervous but am genuinely excited by all this change; it was needed
