Hadn’t realised this thread had even started up again had I known I would never have started another thread discussing transfers which I have left open for non Premier League fans to use.
Looks like Morgan Rodgers is going to Chelsea, Aston Villa had demanded a British transfer record £117 million probably to scare Arsenal off and Chelsea came straight in and paid it.
Chelsea after spending the most money ever building a squad £1.5 billion and posting record losses to finish outside of the European places last season are going all in to try and get back challenging for the league title.

According to reports Elijah Upson the highly rated son of ex Gunner Mathew Upson will be leaving Spurs for Arsenal. The 18 year old defender has turned down a new contract at Spurs and amid interest from Chelsea, Man City, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich has apparently agreed to join the League Champions.

I was almost happy about him scoring that goal vs. England, at least over someone else in the Argentina team, as I figured his stock would go up.
Not so sure his appeal is as broad now.
He has actually just had a pretty decent season for us and his behaviour in the UK is not quite as poor as while on international duty, but he is weaselly and clearly doesn’t care about being a dad so much, or UK driving laws. I’ve never warmed to him.
Not sure about the temperament of the young lad Barco apparently headed our way from Strasbourg either. His signature seems to be delayed so wonder if Chelsea feel similar.

RIP Kevin Keegan. He was playing in my early days as a Newcastle supporter and I remember his time as a manager at NUFC with great fondness. I feel very sad today…

Even as a West Ham supporter, I grew up adoring King Kev, as every English boy of my age did I think. At Liverpool and Hamburg in the ‘70s and early 80s he was imperious.
A fine fellow in his personal life by all accounts too.
