Premier League Football 25/26

Salah’s form this season has fallen off a cliff and he deserved to be benched. If his whinging to the Press is true, the club should get rid of him. In going public, he’s let his teammates down and himself.

I think that’s exactly what he now wants. A nice nestegg courtesy of the Saudis or the MLS.

@MDS fully agree , especially the bit about he doesn’t have to work for his place !

I agree, @Wugged_Woy, but what a shame that he’ll leave Anfield in such unhappy and selfish fashion. He’s been a fabulous player for Anfield over many seasons and should be regarded as one of the Anfield ‘greats’. He’s now jeopardised that legacy.

I agree too MDS after all of the fuss around Salah’s contract last season the will he/wont he, he has been awful and now all of a sudden after being benched he wants to talk to the press and quite possibly make what is a critical situation at Liverpool terminal.

So many things going wrong at Liverpool, e.g. sale of Luis Diaz and Trent, the Diogo Jota tragedy, injuries to two key new signings (Leoni and Frimpong). Most noticeable of all is the damp squib that is Isak. Wirtz, Ekitike and Kerkez are all settling in.

BUT… Is it possible that Slot won the title with Klopp’s team reaching full maturity, and the bad season suffered by Liverpool’s main contenders? This season we’re seing the real Slot team, and it’s a mess.

Good quote on TV it’s not Liverpool throwing Salah under the bus, rather Salah throwing Liverpool under the bus!. If he wants to go to Saudi and lfc get a good fee then all’s well that ends well

I expect there’s more to come from Salah - ‘someone doesn’t want me in the club’. I doubt that’s Slot & it’s certainly not his captain - ‘I need Salah around as one of the leaders’. More to this than ‘loss of form’ I expect.

Slot wants Salah to track back but he never has and won’t start now

If, as reported, he wants to go East, there will probably be a place for him at Carrow Road.

The big attraction for him would be that we could probably guarantee him a place in the starting lineup most weeks…….

We need a good striker at Forest! I guess his wages might be a challenge.

Good goal. Clever, like that.

Ex players, as pundits, always attempt to rewrite the hand ball rule in real time.

Which is fine if he is scoring and assisting which he isn’t and if there is competent cover at the back which there isn’t.

Trent was a big loss, as was Diaz and very sadly as was Jota, even Nunez is missed and on top of that Van Dyke, Robertson and Salah are nearing the twilight of their careers. The squad was in need of freshening up and in my opinion they should have cashed in on Salah in the Summer.

Sanchez back to his unreliable ways.Twice.

Inconsistency doesn’t even start to describe how refs and VAR deal with shirt pulling/simulation in the penalty box.

That’s 6 wins out of 6 in the Champions League for the Arsenal with 17 goals for and one against.

Gabriel Martinelli has now scored a goal in every round helping Arsenal qualify for the next round with two matches to spare, beat the bottom side Kairat at home next and we are guaranteed a top two spot which means that in all future 2 legged matches we will play the 2nd leg at home which is a big advantage.

He’s back! :slightly_smiling_face::soccer_ball:

Yeah - nice to see Salah on the bench
