A friend of mine who is a Primephonic subscriber forwarded me this. (Primephonic was one of the best sources of streamed classical music.)
Dear Primephonic user,
Three years ago, Primephonic was launched to create a better future for classical music by addressing the challenges and complexities of classical music in the streaming era. To do so, we had to develop a streaming service that truly gets classical right, so that’s what we did over the last 3 years. But to fully achieve our mission, we need to bring our classical streaming expertise to millions of listeners worldwide in the next phase.
As a classical-only startup, we can not reach the majority of classical listeners worldwide, especially those that listen to many other music genres as well. We therefore concluded that in order to achieve our mission, we need to partner with a leading streaming service that encompasses all music genres and also shares our love for classical music. Today, we are therefore thrilled to share a great step forward in our mission – Primephonic is joining Apple Music!
We are working on an amazing new classical music experience from Apple for early next year, but unfortunately, the Primephonic service will be taken offline starting September 7. You may continue to use it at no charge until then.
A refund will be issued for the remaining days in your paid subscription. Please allow up to 30 days for these funds to be applied to your original payment method. After your refund is fully processed, your payment information will be deleted.
In the meantime, we are offering you a free 6-month individual subscription* to Apple Music via xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
With Apple Music, you’ll have:
- Access to the industry’s most comprehensive catalog of classical music recordings and more than 500,000 classical albums, all in lossless and hi-res audio at no additional cost.
- Hundreds of classical albums in Apple’s Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, with new albums added regularly.
- Hundreds of playlists catering to classical fans, from the novice to the expert and everything in between.
- 24 of Primephonic’s best and most popular playlists, re-created within Apple Music.
- Music from all genres and all eras, with over 75 million songs available in Apple Music.
- Seamless integration across all Apple devices and the Apple Music website, with availability on Android, popular smart TVs and smart speakers.
- The ability to download your favorite albums and playlists to your library for offline listening.
- And so much more…
To make this transition as smooth as possible, we will provide two methods to replicate your Primephonic playlists within Apple Music:
Attached to this email you will find a file containing the music you have favorited or added to a playlist in the Primephonic app. If you forward the playlist file to email@example.com, our Customer Support team will reproduce your playlists on Apple Music and contact you to help you add them to your Apple Music library.
Within the coming weeks, we will release a website tool that will automatically replicate your Primephonic library of playlists and favorites in your personal Apple Music account.
If you’re interested in help replicating your playlists on Apple Music or retaining your playlists for our future classical music product, you must opt-in to authorize Apple to retain your playlist and library data within the next 14 days (through September 13th). Please click here to do so, or provide your consent through the Primephonic app itself, otherwise your account information and library data will be deleted. If you would like us to delete your playlist and library data sooner than September 14th, you may reply to this email indicating your request for account deletion, or delete it through the Primephonic app. Please note you can still use method #1 to replicate your playlists and send us your account export file attached to this email if you do not opt-in within 14 days.
You may contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about your favorites / playlists or refund.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you again for using Primephonic.
The Primephonic Team
