Yes I think that was the bit I was missing.
You don’t have to start playing something before using QC. As long as your system is on, opening up Qobuz, pressing the icon and selecting your Naim gear for QC can be done before playing any music. However, the moment you select QC, any radio will stop
I just tried that and it works, but I had to switch manually from radio. It did not automatically switch inputs as it would if I selected Qobuz in the normal way in the Naim app.
You used to have to start playing something before you could switch player but that’s now been ‘fixed’ so all is good
And adjusting the volume through Qobuz connect is SO much better than through the Naim app. Small increments up and down easily done whilst I find the Naim app volume slider a bit clumsy.
The Android app has an option to change the volume slider to up & down buttons.
This works well.
As does the iOS app. I find the buttons much easier to use than the slider.
