RadioParadise Flac Streams not working

Just added the .m3u file , after a rescan on Minim , work fine.
Where I have to put the various logo so to display them on the Naim app ? Tnx

The logo (image) files have to have the exact same name as the “stream name” inside the m3u file. A main logo for a sub folder of Naim streams for example should have the exact same spelling as the m3u file. Play around with the image names and rescan, see what happens. Put all the images in the same directory as the m3u files.

Mine looks like this.
Top level Playlists:

Tap on Naim:

Tap on Radio Paradise:

etc.

@dknk

Hi,

I see that you have “sub-menu” (naim & radio paridise) within your playlist. How did you make this Magic trick?

Would you, please, be kind enough to post here the text of your playlist (the .m3u file) ?

It’s very easy, just have a separate .m3u file for each top level playlist you want.
Example for the Naim steams:

Naim.m3u

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,[N Radio] Naim Radio
http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8360/flac.flac
#EXTINF:-1,[N Jazz] Naim Jazz
http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8340/jazz-flac.flac
#EXTINF:-1,[N Classical] Naim Classical
http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8250/class-flac.flac

For all the streams inside of Naim.m3u, have a separate image for each stream name. In the above case you want to have as images: Naim Radio.png, Naim Jazz.png, Naim Classical.png AND also Naim.jpg for the .m3u file. (I found the images on another thread on this forum).

For Radio Paradise do the same:
Radio Paradise.m3u
And so on like above…

**All images and .m3u files need to be in the same directory. The images have to be named exactly the same as the .m3u file name and the stream names. The images can be .jpg or .png and possibly others, not tried any other types.

great …i’ll this immediatly. many thks

Here is my Radio Paradise Top level setup.
Create:
Radio Paradise.m3u

Add streams:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,[Main] RP Main Mix
https://stream.radioparadise.com/flac
#EXTINF:-1,[Mellow] RP Mellow Mix
https://stream.radioparadise.com/mellow-flac
#EXTINF:-1,[Rock] RP Rock Mix
https://stream.radioparadise.com/rock-flac
#EXTINF:-1,[Electic] RP Eclectic Mix
https://stream.radioparadise.com/world-etc-flac

Add images:

Radio Paradise.png
Radio Paradise

RP Main Mix.jpg

RP Mellow Mix.jpg

RP Rock Mix.jpg

RP Electic Mix.jpg

Make sure the spelling of the images match exactly to the .m3u file name and stream names and everything is in the same directory and of course RESCAN Minimserver…

@dknk
Many thanks for all thoose details…i’ve try to reproduce all of that. Then,i’ve check my setup but don’t manage to obtain (exactly) the same result.
Taking the example of Linn radios

Here are the folders on the NAS.
1

inside the “RadioLinn” folder
2
and the content of the playlist (Linn.m3u)
3

After setting all thoose things, i made a rescan on minimserver, i obtain this

as you can see, the “parent” list (RadioLinn) don’t received its dedicated picture though the 2 names (Linn.m3u, Linn.png) are identical (no blank issue)

The issue is similar for the group of Naim’s radios and the Radio paradise’s ones.

I don’t know if i’ve add the good things to the playlist because when i click on the parent playlist (ie RadioLinn) it does not simply open the folder (like it seems on you print screen) but take me to the “play screen” with this “aggregate” image…

Thks for your help

The Linn files look good except that the RadioLinn directory name itself “should” be ignored by MimimServer ( it is on my server anyway). It should just show “Linn” as the top level playlist getting it’s name from the Linn.m3u file name inside the LinnRadio directory.

For a test, move the Linn.m3u file and the images out of the RadioLinn folder and into the root directory of your NAS and rescan. See what happens.

It may be a quirk in the way that your version of MinimServer interacts with your NAS OS. Not sure if you can adjust your MinimServer settings or not to fix this snag. I’m using MimimServer 0.8.5.2 on RaspberryPi OS (Linux). What are you using?

Anyway, I set Linn Radio up here and it looks like this on my Android or iOS Naim app to Muso 1. My top level playlist titles all display the .m3u file name and not the directory name.

Top Level:

Tap on Linn:

hmmm…do you add the top level playlist only ? or first the top level and after you add each of the stream to the top level playlist ?

In my setup, anything that is .m3u is the top level playlist and goes by its file name. In my case, I have 4 .m3u files with their respective streams in those 4 files.

if i correctly understand what you say, for radio paradise, you have only create a playlist with your file “Radio Paradise.m3u” ?
And when you clic on it, it display the 4 stream listed in the playlist (it works like this for me before i try to add image) ? (with my setup, when i click on the playlist Radio paradise.m3u it goes to the play screen…

It just must be the interaction of the NAS OS and Minimserver, you may need to play around with your OS or Minimserver settings, possibly. It seems there is a bit of a difference in how your NAS OS/Minimserver and my RaspberryPi/Minimserver works. Try out different things like moving all files out of your directories to the Nas/Minimserver root directory, rescan, see what happens.

Radio Paradise.m3u has the 4 RP streams only in it. Upload to my server, rescan, and I see Radio Paradise. I tap on Radio Paradise and am taken to the screen with just the 4 RP streams as in pics above.

With all in the same directory and after a rescan it’s…the same.
Next time, i will try to amend my playlist linn.m3u removing the empty lines…we’ll see.
Many thx for your kind help dknk
