I just saw a Facebook advertisement from Naim Audio that showed the App supporting room correction. Is this true and if so what products does it support.
It’s for the new Focal Diva active speakers. An interesting development for sure.
Ah thanks. I just saw the same ad, and having found a new firmware update for my Nova was available I was hoping for something like the Lyngdorf system. Ah well
I searched for the Focal diva speakers as I feel my next move may well be to active speakers and was surprised to find this in their information/advertorial.
I can’t really envisage why a muso would/could/should connect to active speakers.

Maybe it’s just that they can both be used in a multi-room system?
Perhaps, but why not the atom, star, 332, NDX2 etc as well?

In true Naim marketing fashion, the web link on the Facebook post to learn more about the room correction in the app, takes you to page about the app…. that says nothing about a room correction feature
It could be that if you’re looking for the all-in-one Diva speakers, then you’re more likely to be looking for other all-in-one solutions for other rooms within the range ?
Wasn’t aware of this, but it looks like Focal are following the direction of B&O with their room matching allin1 speakers. B&O’s view appears to be that room matching needs to start with the active speakers in how they interact with the room/listening space… which technically makes considerable sense as opposed to trying to compensate only with upstream audio eq, and Focal/Naim are looking at the same perhaps… interesting for those who don’t want specific room treatments. Let’s see how it evolves.
That’s how I saw it too.
