Has anyone ever heard of repairing the original tweeter.
I’ve since replaced my SBL’s tweeters and they sound great.
But it would be nice to have a backup if a kit was reasonably priced.
Of coarse a set of new tweeters isn’t terribly expensive…

I have been running in the new Scanspeak tweeters on the iBLs for some time now and they have proved to be a wonderful upgrade. Sound was very good before, but there is definitely more to enjoy from the change.
Some ‘difficult’ recordings are much easier on the ear, and good / great tracks are more fabulous with improved detail, pace / rhythm / timing.
I See… this is a path I should consider as well.

Yes - and no.
Silicone RTV - which is what Silicone Sealer is - is not an ‘adhesive’ - its a Room Temperature Vulcanising (hence RTV) type of Silicone rubber.
Hylomar should always be used in moderation - less is better.
