Serial Numbers

Does anyone know if the list of serial numbers has been removed from the Naim Website?

https://www.naimaudio.com/serial-numbers

All I can see on that page is an explanation of what serial numbers are. Is it my browser or has the website blown a fuse?

yes it has been removed.

You can see a serial number list in other places such as Class A Audio. Just google them.

You can also send your serial number to the email address Naim specify and they will give you the history of the device in response.

If I can also piggy back this question-does anyone know where I can find Serial numbers post start of 2022?

I’ve never found them on naim recent website btw

I’ve found Naim very helpful in the past if you ring up with a potential purchase serial number. But it’s good to have the list when you are trawling Ebay.

The world stopped in ‘22.

Here is an earlier discussion on this topic
Serial numbers removed from website.

Plus 22 sat in middle of 21?

It all seems to go wrong from 2020, now I look again. Blame it on Covid. Maybe everyone at Naim was in a party when the list was put together.

ISTR that long-build stuff like Statements get assigned a serial number when ordered but are dated when they leave the factory. So, you could order one in November but have it delivered in the New Year, for example.

Or something like that.

Was banking on you HH-been bugging me for a while this number malarkey

The website update has not been completed yet. Your best bet is to contact Naim support by email with the serial number,. They can then give you details of when built, whether serviced at Naim etc…

As I mentioned Naim support have always been great when I’ve contacted them ask about a products history. But it’s good to have the list

It’s good for Naim resources to have an external list too… One of the first things we all check when looking out for used Naim boxes is the serial number to understand when it was made and in return when it needs a costly service.

Has anybody tried waybackmachine? Maybe you can easily find the old page with serial numbers there.

Class A keep a list on their website.

All of these workarounds are good only through 2020, as HH pointed out (there are errors in 2021 & 2022).

For example, I was unable to confirm the year of manufacture of the preowned NAIT 50 that I purchased recently.

It’s pretty disappointing that a simple but important reference page, that many Naimees often utilize, has been broken for so long.

If they have the S/N which they do it is a matter of 2 minutes to publish a list. T.W.O.

Working on it. Not.

Thanks Richard, as do cymbiosis

However, from 2020 the numbers seems to awry. Is this a mistake or did the numbering logic change?

And yes the support at naim is great if you call.

However I was more curious why numbering has falling away, wrong

Why is it taking so long? I found your post announcing the new website last April. Given that work would have started on the redesign some time before the announcement, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to guess that it’s taken at least a full year so far. It can’t be that difficult!
