Show us your flowers 💐

That’s a very pretty flower and I think it could be a Gladiolus :relaxed:

A poppy.

I love the variegated foliage and it would be lovely to see a close up of those spectacular lilac coloured flowers :relaxed:

You’ve captured a beautiful moment with that photo: lightness at the top contrasted with darkness below in the presence of a bud on the verge of bursting open :relaxed:

That Laurel looks remarkably similar to my Hebe!?

My Hebe has white flowers with interspersed lilac tones courtesy of the identification provided by @catswhiskers. Do you have variegated foliage and lilac/blue haze flowers on your example? :relaxed:

In my last garden there was a large one with mauve flowers and variegated leaves. It was quite large when I moved in, and still going strong 20 years later.
In our current place we have a small one planted a couple of years ago with those white and dark purple flowers which look quite interesting. I’d post a photo, but it’s dark!

I was trying to discern the colour of the flowers but I suppose mauve/purple is more accurate than lilac. Wisteria is perhaps a good example of lilac should they bloom that colour. Tomorrow is the continuation of yesterday and I’d love to see the progression of tomorrow morning in your photos lest the sun shine :relaxed:

I was looking at pictures before I posted, because I too thought the flowers look like hebe.
I have had enough mis-described plants that confirmation helps.
I think it is the leaf that the confirming part. A variegated hebe tends to have stripes of colour whereas a variegated laurel tends the have dots. Mind you, nature plays tricks on us. Typically my dwarf hebe, predicted to grow 18 inches is five feet tall.
I’ve just looked a bit more, a cherry laurel has white flowers that are quite similar to hebe. However, it is again the leaves to look at. Laurel leaves seem to be quite symmetrical along the length and spaced randomly. Hebe leaves seem the be opposite pairs alternately at 90 degrees.

I found this image on Google, it is Hebe speciosa ‘Variegata’ and looks similar to @Debs’.

Thank you both, that is just one rose bush which we gave a radical prune last year and it doesn’t seem to be sulking this year.

Morpheus Zingiberfelinus could be an alternative :relaxed:
