Show us your guitars!

Hadn’t heard of Certano. I recall Bigsby used to make palm pedals. I saw Rick Vito using them years ago.

I found him in Marseilles….really nice chap, small one man business ……good gear……

I use different tunings and I set the levers to raise by a semi tone or a tone……but also you can play with lever/s pressed all the time and then lower the pitch as and when.
Takes a bit of practice, and it’s obviously not got the full versatility of a pedal steel but you can achieve a pretty convincing solo, and chord manipulation out of a quite basic instrument ……

Got my recently acquired 2003 Epiphone Sheraton (made in Korea) back from the luthier - just don’t have the time to do the cable harness and other electronic components work myself.

I took this project to replace my ES-335, and liberate some decent cash in the process. I actually like the neck on this guitar much more than the 335, and with everything on the guitar replaced (Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbuckers) I am really happy with it.

Well that was the Original model, then they made some V.minor changes and called it a snappy MD80-NWT. I particularly like the round back, as when standing, you can put a bit of pressure on the guitar with your forearm and tilt it upwards so that you can see the threts better. It also has a narrower neck that my previous Martin, which is closer to an electric, so fits my fingers better particularly when barring chords

My 2021 G&L 2000 Bass…Strung correctly L/H, after playing with strings the wrong way round since 1957 I finally mastered correct stringing on bass about 5 years ago, but attempts to do the same on 6 string guitar leave me baffled. I can play chords but lead lines leave me with total confusion !

Thinking about that leaves me in total confusion! I’m impressed!

I’m actually right handed at most things except musical instruments ……

In 1957 when I got my first guitar, an old acoustic Hofner, I just played it upside down . I wasn’t even aware that the strings were the wrong way round.
Took me a year to become proficient and in 1964 I ordered and bought my first USA guitar….a left handed Epiphone Casino, Kalamazoo Factory….and when I collected the guitar I noticed that, for me, the strings were the wrong way round ! So it had a nut reversal etc by the shop’s guitar repairer and all was ok.
The disadvantage of playing right hand electrics upside down is the tendency to turn the controls with your elbow.
Although Jimi Hendrix managed pretty well !

My brother is mostly left-handed, but has learned to play guitar right-handed, and plays well. However, to this day, he plays air guitar left-handed.

I think that’s strange…

It’s a strange thing ambidexterity….there’s a few things I can do equally well with either hand ……
