I’m sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. So terrible when the time comes.
That’s an amazing photo of him. I’m very sorry to hear your news.
Really sorry to hear that sad news. Best wishes.
A week later and the change is remarkable. Eyes wide open, very alert and very active, almost flying. They now weigh about 17g each.
Sorry to hear of your loss Winky.
Argh. Sorry to read this Winky. All the best.
Lovely picture - I’m sure you will have great memories, although I know it’s not the same as having him around. My condolences.
Sorry to read your news, Winky.
Sorry to hear that winky.
Good luck I hope they make it, you’re obviously a decent human.
Thank you Pete, I hope they will too. They get a bit of time each day in the ‘aviary’ (large garden vegetable box with chicken wire over it), figure that will keep them as wild as possible. The box is full of veg plants that have gone to seed, which hopefully will help them with foraging.
I like the photos you have put up of the kookaburras. Such amazing birdlife in Australia. We have beautiful birds here in NZ but I always enjoyed the variety of sounds your birds make when I was hiking in the Grampians.
Cheers, Ian
Mrs Pete has taken to feeding the kookaburras and cockatoos. The kookaburras are so gentle and easy to hand feed.
