What a great idea, I’m going to look at these for our new puppy he can then join his older mates for longer walks until his growth plates are sufficiently strong.

Some months ago I noticed a lump on Ike’s left shoulder. Since it was over a bone I suspected it could just be something trauma induced but kept a check on it. Recently it became clear it was getting larger so today he was off to the vet.
Vet remarked that it was quite soft and could be a cyst. Punctured it with a syringe and withdrew about 5ml of plasma coloured liquid. She squeezed some into the palm of her hand, rubbed it with her other thumb, sniffed it and declared it free of infection. If it recurs then we’ll need to drain him again.
Meanwhile, absent his winter coat, he’s a rather scrawny looking critter.
He also seems to have figured that post-vet treats are due and is torturing the bejesus out of me.

Cammy, a semi-feral chap, has been with us for a couple of weeks. He’s still very wary and hides as soon as he sees me (my wife is more acceptable). Cammy seems to like the Neat Motives.

Never rains but pours, found our last Silkie chicken dead yesterday, not sure why she seemed OK when we out her to roost, r.i.p Delilah. When we first got her she had issues and we often had to have her indoors with the bunnies.
Now this morning Winston our 1 year old cat has not seemed right the last couple of days, not really eating properly. Quick weigh in 10% down from last month, visit to vet showed a temp of 40C, but no other issues. So injection for anti sickness and a painkiller/anti inflammatory…..he seems to have perked up
