My wife’s meets that description Paul😊
This is mine. I sold it a couple of years ago and bought a new Technics sl1200gr, which of course makes me happy, but the LP12 is a completely different story…
OK, so you want redder? I’m not sure if this meets that requirement, but this is one I downloaded from Twitter some years back and kept the image for its exceptional beauty. If I I recall correctly, it’s a Chris Harban plinth in Koa. I have a suspicion that it might belong to a well known U.K. dealer.
No! That just brought on a dizzy spell.
The wood grain is far too ‘busy’, to my way of thinking. It detracts from the clean lines of the LP12.
What about this one.
No! Bay city rollers have just entered my head and I don’t want them there.
I know that that’s a mock up, thank goodness. Linn are rightly proud of their Scottish heritage, but that is several steps too far down a blind alley.
Not even Jonny Ive (recently involved in an inglorious attempt to ‘update’ the LP12’s design) could come up with something as appalling as that!
I don’t think calling that ‘garish’ would be entirely inaccurate
Perhaps Discombobulating?
…that too!
I think a bit Sh.t would be appropriate.
Are you only allowed to play that matching record when you use that LP12?
I wonder why they didn’t bother to crazy paint the Ittok (?) tonearm while they were at it?
Wrong tartan for me !
When someone starts a thread in 2024 recalling the best albums of 50 years prior, the lads might have an entry. And for every subsequent year to 2031….
Guy says to his mate I’m going to have a traditional highland wedding
He says what’s the Tartan.
She’s wearing white.
