62/140 won’t break the bank and would be a good match I think.
Don’t ignore the s/h market for amplifiers. If you were concerned later, you could always get it serviced either at Naim HQ or by Darran in Sheffield. You could pick up a SN1 or XS2 for around £1k, both of which I’m sure would drive the Tablettes.
thanks all,
- yes to my mind the XS level will be a good choice, better than the entry level.
but if anyone try a 5si on the last T10, it can help
- no, I will not go on a separated system as I have before, even I loved it. and I want a remote
- for sure I will look the s/h market, I will not buy a new one, except if I have a good opportunity.
in France, (where I’m from), you can have a 5si for 1K€, a XS3 for 2K€ and a SN3 for 3K€ (in s/h)
for the source, I think about a NDS5X2 or a Lumin D2
and why not a Planar 1 or 2 to test LP for fun (if I buy a XS3 with MM entry)
Hi,
I do like the Naim and Proac mix although have not tried out Tab 10’s.
A demo if possible would help you to understand differences in amplification. I have larger D20Rs and to me not enough between XS3 and SN3 to justify but most will disagree
.
Great synergy between ND5XS2 and XS3 but other streaming solutions are very good too - apologies if I’m coming across as a Naim fan boy!
Happy hunting.

I started with a Nait XS 2 and ND5XS with ProAC D2D speakers and it was a wonderful system. I do not believe you will be disappointed with a ND5XS2 > NAIT XS 3 with your Tablette 10 speakers.
I agree, kayaker - I think that will really hit a nice blend of sonic and hifi balance and bang for the buck.
I have a Lumin D2 connected to my Supernait2 feeding ProAc Tab 10 Sigs and it really does boogie nicely. I’m sure a Supernait2 on the second hand market could be in reach looking at the prices you have quoted above.
You do see Tablettes and Atoms paired frequently, so the 5si should have no problems, but as always, you get what you pay for and I would go for an XS3
A recent addition of the legendary NAP250DR on the end of my Nova driving my Tablette 10 Signatures has made a stonking improvement across the board. Beauty is, it’s hidden away in a cupboard so I don’t lose the one-box visual aesthetic either.
In the UK, a used SN2 is probably cheaper than a used XS3, admittedly the latter has more years before a service is in order. But saved monies for the SN2 might almost pay for a service.
Unless one is desperate for the phono stage, the SN2 should be no brainier in comparison to the XS3…
I can’t see myself selling my SN2 (second system) any time soon: it’s too good for the money I could get…
