Lindsay, I tried my NAT02 there but the amount of hum over the phono input was just so high. The P10 supply doesn’t affect the Aria at all, whereas the 02 plays havoc with it for some reason. The NAT therefore lives happily on the top shelf. It’s my favourite Naim box, so it’s nice to have it in full view.
@anon4489532 - the new Rega boxes do look very good indeed - much better than the former offset LED logo and curved fascia variants. At the moment there must be something in the water at Rega Towers as they are fizzing. As are Naim to be fair, as their new design language has definite potential if it overlaps from the Uniti-Tastic range to the Classic, although this approach will prove divisive if it goes ahead I’m sure. The NAT02 looks great, and the one Naim box that eluded me as never bought one when I had my 62/140 & 52/135s, as I had a NAT03 and never got around to upgrading it - perhaps testament to it being a cracking little tuner.
@anon96879789 - ah I wasn’t aware of the N-SAT voicing having gone through radical changes during their lifespan. Your comments about the early examples certainly correspond with my thoughts after hearing an early pair. Pre audition I was all ready to buy but when I heard them at the dealers (who was equally unenthusiastic) I left them where they were and kept the Road Minstrels I had at the time. I’m even my curious about the Aethos now!

That’s a rather swish way to join our little forum.
Hello, good evening and welcome
Thanks. What do you mean when you say “swish way”
Very nice and serious vinyl source, from the tt to phono to the cart.
Maybe a bit limiting to have such a source connected to the Atom?
It’s entirely complimentary. It’s your first post and you show us really nice pictures of your very nice turntable. It’s a good way to start. Swish is a perfect description.
I’ve never heard of Acoustic Signature, but it looks good and makes a welcome change. I have a Rega and so it seems does half the Forum.
Thanks the Atom is the first Naim product I have owned and got it mainly to pair with
my Focal Aria 926s speakers and I found that the Atom is very capable to handle the vinyl source input and a better match with my speakers then the Audia Flight FL3S it replaces.
There is no doubt I’ll end up going up the Naim line in the future.
.
Thanks again
Acoustic Signature is a German company all hand made in house.
Sorry to be a spoilsport, but do have a read of the Forum Rules, particularly the one about no commercial links in the Hifi Corner. You don’t want to be told off on your first day!
Sorry, read the rules but I forgot.
It mean very elegant, very stylish - an item to envy
best wishes
Thanks, It’s taken a lot of time and a lot and gear to get to this point and
I’m very happy with everything now.
Decca Maroon mono, Aro and Rock, now without outrigger and damping trough but with the addition of 8g of brass, 4.5g more than the weight of the outrigger.
After a bit of tweaking it’s sounding pretty good and tracking OK so far even on a stereo cut, that wasn’t the case just the Aro un augmented. Sounds a bit freer and larger scale than with the trough.
My deck as of now
Sorry for the slightly crude photoshop background. I do have a better picture but it’s not as new and shows a different arm, record clamp and armboard design.
What it is ? I have already posted it once , but don’t remember the name.
How about the Superline/ Supercap?
One last thing you could try, to upgrade noticeably the sound of a tubes phono with very low MC output, is to add an SUT to the Tron. Like Bob Devices, Jensen, Audio Note, Ear Mc4….Maybe your dealer has one.
Will be trying just that and will be interesting to hear what a brand new superline and supercap dr can do
Nice story and I’m rather late to comment… But what cartridge are you using with it?
Sorry, are you referring to my post (the way this forum formats posts I find slightly confusing)? Assuming you are then the answer is it is a custom design and build. It is from this design that I developed the Tranquility bearing mod and also the RubiKon chassis. The two boxes pictured are actually half of the phonostage but it does have a separate power supply. Although it looks like a solid design this is not the case, though perhaps not in the way imagined. The design has been in development now for thirty years!
