The soft camera brush is what I ended up using, thanks for that.

I read somewhere (a HiFi magazine I think) a few years ago; that Rega chose felt as it was the best material for decoupling from the platter. Cork, rubber etc are not as good for this. Some turntable manufacturers have a different perspective on coupling and decoupling. For example I understand that Michelle donāt like mats at all, preferring the direct contact with the platter. I am not sufficiently expert in this hobby so Iām open to good ideas but for the time being have stuck with the stock mat.

Herbieās does not recommend the standard āWay Excellent II Turntable Matā for ceramic platters, they have a different mat called āGrungebuster Turntable Matā for ceramic platters like in RP7/9/10, which one did you tried?

That would make sense. Itās the Way Excellent. As I say, it works pretty well on the Thorens.

One note on stylus cleaningāMr Clean Magic Eraser cut into rectangles. Best thing for cleaning the diamond Iāve used.
