Sometimes it helps to save money )
Nice! It’s good to look after your kit. I do not see Michell Technodecs very often which is a pity as they are an excellent turntable.
Nice vintage tonearm too - A Micro Seiko MA-505?
Micro Seiki… maybe…
Yes, dratted auto-correct strikes again.
Give him a break, there’s just been a glorious Grand Seiko posted on the watches thread
There’s always that someone “ watching “
Bingo!
I didn’t need another turntable project but when I found this unloved Gyro SE mk2 (PS has been lost) for $1000, I had to give it a home. Now to figure out a PS to put on it----
I love this thread, so I thought it was time to get around to taking some photos to join in!
After some searching, I finally got hold of a decent condition Harman/Kardon T60 at the end of last year. It’s a 3 point suspended deck from the era when Harman/Kardon were Japanese owned, and so it’s made in Japan. I currently have a 2M Bronze fitted to the ITO arm which seems a good match. (Matches better than the AT VM750SH I tried at first)
I’ve recapped the speed controller with Nichicon Fine Gold caps, and it really does perform well!
Beautiful HK tt. Never seen one before.
Lovely.
(ps I’m guessing you won’t get the usual Forum Police on your tail re switched sockets!)
Is that a Moon phono stage sitting under your turntable?
Best regards, BF
Believe me, those plug sockets are a pain! Being in a giant wall plate, they’re not easily replaceable either.
Powerlines fit in the bottom ones, but the cable is too chunk to fit in the top ones, so Powerline Lites only. It’s a work in progress/thinking!!
That’s right, it’s being powered by the NAPSC next to it. It’s a great sounding phono stage for the money, although I think the Stageline is a touch more musical.
My 252/SCDR is currently at Naim HQ for some servicing and some love, hence the NAC-332 on loan. When I pull the trigger on a NAC-332/NPX-300 to replace the 252/SCDR, I’ll add an NVC-TT - that’s a superb sounding pre to my ears.
A very recently refurbished Technics SP-10 Mk II with a brand new Acoustand Obsidian Inspired plinth. Looks and sounds amazing for a 50 year old turntable.
A Rega RB300 arm and a Soundsmith Otello fixed coil cartridge.
Musical Fidelity X-LP phono amp.
The X-LP phono.
LOL, wrong pic!
