It’s as good as I hoped it would be. I changed from a Rega P8 although I had nothing but love for the sound of the Rega. My decision wasn’t based on sound quality, I wasn’t expecting an upgrade sonically but a sideways move and that’s what I found. Different strengths, but playing in the same league.
I haven’t heard the 1500 so I can’t say with certainty but I’d assume it’s sonically equivalent to the Rega P3, with the same kind of differences in presentation between the two. I can say that the 1300G is equivalent to the P8, and I found a clear step up from P3 to P8.
Is it worth it? Like any hifi upgrade, there’s diminishing returns - depends how comfortable you are about splashing the cash. For me it definitely looks, feels and sounds the money, no disappointment whatsoever.
With turntable upgrades you expect better timing, lower noise floor and extracting more quality from any cartridge you mount on it. I think you’ll get all that, maybe not a night and day difference in the timing because the 1500 will already be pretty rock solid. Away from sound, it feels like it’s engineered to last a lifetime and will be capable of some serious cartridge upgrades. The manual arm lift should feel a little better in use - although that’s still my only gripe to be honest. It works perfectly well but I’d take the Rega arm lifter over the Technics one all day long.

If it’s any use I went from an SL100C (1500C without the inbuilt phono stage) to an SL1210GR2.
On spinning the first disc it was obvious that it was a very significant upgrade.

I love mine too, got an Ortofon Concorde Music Black mounted on it, through a Heed Quasar III into the analogue input of the Atom HE. The Atom HE has been here less than a week, but the few vinyl sessions I’ve had so far have brought out the best sound in it so far, had a session last night that sounded absolutely amazing.

Which turntable mat do you use on your Well Tempered?
I have listened to a Well Tempered at a dealership but I find it hard to take a golf ball as an arm bearing seriously. In truth, it sounded not bad.

I would assume it’s the original that comes with it but not 100% sure. It’s not felt. It feels very light and stiff almost like cardboard.

The Amadeus doesn’t have it. I decided to trust what most people say about WT which is very good. To be honest I don’t think about it since it’s not that visible 
Many LP12 users have changed to WT claiming it was mainly due to it being so musical. We’ll see
