The new top plate looks nice and clean too.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to opt for a Keel SE as I’m committed to the Aro.

Same here!
well
Who knows Clive - in the past our friend DS has lobbied Linn to produced runs of the Keel SE for the ARO
DS? If you mean PS (@Cymbiosis), I did joke with him that I’d have to wait for an SE Keel for Aro, but he doubted there’d be the demand to justify Linn designing and tooling up for it. Peter was instrumental in persuading Linn to make the original Keel for Aro.
Hello Bevo,
With about 1350 Aros made over the 20 years it was in production, I was able to push the argument that there was a need for the Keel/A, just as when the Radikal came out with straight connecting plugs and initially we were advised that the plugs could not be changed as it was a modification! I pointed out that half my LP12 clients were using Fraim
at that time and that Neutrik made right-angled plugs that could be used to avoid the Radikal cables fouling on the rear leg! (The NC5FRX BTW) Without the need for unsoldering wires, it was just a body swap! Common sense prevailed… ![]()
However, with the Aro now more than 10 years on from being sadly discontinued, spares being virtually non-existent
and most Aro owners perfectly happy with what they have with the original Keel/A it would be a really illogical for me to order a necessary quantity to make it happen as the Aro fit/cut is unique. Just not enough numbers I am sure… even if I could persuade Glasgow…
That’s a good call Skeptikal, we just need someone to make it… Maybe the guys at TrigB!
I guess it would look something similar to this:…

I cheated, looked at the @Cymbiosis website…
The Bool arm looks fantastic but i have not seen much info about it. Is it now in regular production?
…remember that it will need to be in a different place, so v difficult.

Looks perfect for a new generation of ARO and similar unipivot designs that are now current.
Relive that technology and now know it can be used on an LP12 standard fitting for any level of sub chassis up to Keel SE.
I’ve just had a Keel SE fitted and believe me it’s a game changer.

The hole in the SE doesn’t look round.
That seems a good idea, more stable than a round hole. The shaft is located in housing at two points instead of one.
Is this a new feature.
An eccentric hole isn’t a feature I was aware of. ![]()
Well it should be.
The shaft is locked in position at three points (including the screw) instead of two. Making it more stable.
It may be the camera angle, but the shape is what you would expect, given the position of the securing screw.
After a lot of sweating, swearing and fiddling I got the SpuaTrac onto the SME!
Time to start setting it up properly.
Acrylic plinth anyone? Or from inside a Keel cam. With green lighting of course.

… and … ? Outstanding - ok - mediocre - trash? ![]()
Has anyone tried these handheld air dusters to remove dust from vinyl? Should they not work really well and nicely replace brushes?
