What is the first turntable?

Many thanks

i think that is a technics sp15 with epa250 tonearm

It´s a SP-15 in SH-15B2 plinth but paired with EPA-500 tonarm system base and EPA-A501H arm tube as well as a half inch version of the fabulous EPC-205C MK III cartridge.

Was the SP15 better than SP10, or the contrary ?

No, the SP10 Mk2 was the superior deck, the SP10 Mk3, very much so. The SP15 is still a rather nice bit of kit though, but shares rather more with the SL-150 Mk2 than the SP10, kind off a halfway house between the two, with the slightly more basic SP25 as a lower cost sister.

Thanks. I haven’t heard speaking of the SP15. The SP10 seems to be more known.

Sorry, but SP-15 doesn´t share that much with SL-150 MKII. It´s exactly the SP-25 that´s quite similar to the SL-150 MKII.

The SP-15 is more likely a more modern SP-10 MK II. Due to it´s damped platter I prefer the SP-15 in many aspects over the SP-10 MK II. The SP-10s platter is ringing like hell.

That´s my SP-10 MK II in a SH-10B3 plinth awaiting a new tonearm base and tonearm setup

You are collecting them, like in a museum, or listening to all and swapping between turntables ?
