Which sounds better to you?
Qobuz has Hi-Res versions of most albums. Spotify lossless basically is CD quality. I find it difficult to hear the difference (between CD- and Hi-Res quality). Sometimes I do, but most of the time I do n’t. But I still prefer Qobuz for other reasons (catalog, artist payment etc.). The difference between Spotify 320kbps and Spotify Lossless is pretty big to my ears.
So as I understand it support is already there in the non green screen streamers from Naim so no upgrade needed? My Lindemann Bridge II streamer is not there yet and support team didn’t know when it gets there. But I’ll have NSS 333 here in a couple of weeks so I guess it’s ready to go then if I want to given my Spotify account have released it for me
No, see the bottom of the post from @Stevesky
Unfortunately the older green screen products and muso1 can’t get it as Spotify no longer generate library builds for that platform. Apologies, but out of our control.
I have Roon perpetual, and I only buy albums on Qobuz when they’re at least 96 kHz. Recently, there have been very few titles that meet that; most top out at 24‑bit/48 kHz, so my Roon collection is growing sloooowly.
So I can ditch anything under 96 kHz on Qobuz and Tidal without noticing any difference
I use a WiiM that is connected to my SuperUniti for all my streaming input so no problem there. I use the DAC from the SuperUniti of course.
WiiM to the rescue.
Box proliferation.
And two control platforms, one for music selection and one for volume/input switching. Yuck.
It’s not that bad, and it is what it is for now. The music is also controllable from within Spotify if you like. In my setup the WiiM is really transparent.
And to be honest, after my experience with Naim and streaming support I will always go for a separate streamer with dedicated support from now on.
Full disclosure, I own a WiiM mini. I haven’t taken it out of the box yet but have it available for when the rapture comes.
No unauthorised commercial links here please. Thanks.
I hope to see it (hear it) in Canada sometime in October, I wonder if it requires both an app upgrade and an update on my Uniti Nova?
I received the lossless option last night, and just listened to a couple of tracks. First impressions… WOW!
Beyond expectation tbh. Very happy with it.
To me the sound-quality is really good. I think I’ll be using Spotify more now. (before it was mainly to have some back-ground music at work, through my phone)
Apologies for the Noddy question. When I receive Lossless, will I have to set up my playlists from scratch, or do I simply select Lossless in media quality settings and the sound quality ‘upgrade’ will be automatically applied to the songs in my lists?

Thank you, that’s a relief!
It’s just the audio quality setting in settings. Only downloaded songs need to be downloaded again if you want the lossless tracks.
I have Qobuz and Spotify. I have to keep Spotify family for fear of the domestic rebellion that will follow its cancellation. I’m still waiting for the lossless option but am looking forward to giving it a go. It must be the equivalent of riding a Unicorn.
Located in The Netherlands and playing with it right now, very, very pleased with the results; as @Alco said: well above expectations!
I’m most likely dropping Qobuz once I get the lossless option. My family had been using Spotify so just makes sense for me to stick with one service and do family account. I already setup and synced with Qobuz account and ready to go. Going to do a few last tests on Qobuz that have multiple versions to see if hires really giving me anything more. Really think CD and good master should be all you need.
One of the hidden feature I really like is the advance search where can search by label, year, and genre. It almost like roon’s focus feature but on their whole library. Actually was hoping roon would offer the focus feature on Qobuz or Tidal. Not as useful on albums I’ve already favorited.
