Here is my bedroom system, same as on the old forum pics.
Nice setup for a bedroom
very nice set up for a bedroom, perhaps too much. Personally i can’t really listening to music when lying on a bed. But it’s a nice set up indeed!
Thank you, frenchroooster!
It’s a modest one but I like it a lot. And I like listen to music standing, seating, lying:blush:

If that’s two singles pushed together the ‘listening position’ (a new one for the bedroom?’) could be a tad uncomfortable
?

What are those speakers in the bedroom? They’re quite beautiful.
Well, thank you very much indeed, I’ve been looking for a compact high quality set for exactly that budget, and these look perfect. The reviews are all pretty stellar.
How do you find them? Do they take a lot of power to drive?
With the current set up I’m more than happy.
Nap150 is 50W per channel. I drove the KEFs with UQ2 which is 30W. It was OK.
I wanted to pair the system with Naim bookshelf speakers. But the KEF xQ20 are better then n-Sats, to my ears at least.
They’re obviously very loved, not many pairs for sale anywhere, but will hunt some down.
you have a good rig..
I use sealed speakers too but use them 1/5 into the room
ideally would have been 1/3 but thats not possible
normally folks look to upgrade the electronics or transducers for better sound but it may be preferable to try and tame the first reflection points ( weather sealed or ported or transmission line doesnt matter ) - for a start
wont be too costly, might lead to new discoveries on your existing hardware itself and would be fun as well..
but..whatever sounds good to your ears is music to us i guess..

Thanks @anon93526344 I agree it’s worth experimenting with speaker placement to tame room reflections, etc. My speakers are a foot away from the rear walls and side walls, and around 7.5 feet each from my listening position. I repositioned them again when I got the 252 (due to the extra bass weight) and now I’ve found the sweet spot for the room. I’m very pleased with how the ATCs have opened up with the 252. It’s an amazing piece of kit ![]()
Looks tidy! Two things I did for better sound from the RP10, if you can sort messing up the ‘tidyness’ after, are remove the RP10 base frame and lid, and keep the TTPS away from the phono stage. Nice system photo!
Please tell me about that guitar if you would…it much intrigues me.
This is a Parlour guitar made by Felix Byrne who is based near Bath. It’s made from recycled wood and is quite an unconventional design. It has the sound hole at the top of the body so you hear the sound more clearly as you play. It also an integral pickup. The action is adjusted by loosening the strap peg by the neck rather than at the bridge. It can be easily taken apart too if you need to travel. The music shop, Guitarbitz, in Bath usually has a couple of models in stock.
Changes since my last picture. Setup turned 90 degrees, placed on the longest wall and that with great success. CD shelves works quite well as diffusors.
272 replaced by NDX2 and 282 and Hicap 2. The NAC was recapped in January.

superb now!
That really does look lovely. The colour co-ordination is very easy on the eye.
That looks great. Happy listening Stover.
Looks the business Stover.
