Nigel I’ve had that same radio, but in white, for probably 30 years. Mine’s AM/FM, and it sits in my bathroom and I use it to listen to the news in the morning. I see no need to replace it as all I want to listen to in the morning is news on our public radio station (that plays BBC Newshour starting at 9 am our time for an hour).

I used 272 as a preamp for a while, waiting for the 282 to arrive from recap and managed to switch between the two streamers. For me the difference was huge, more than expected actually and I have not looked back.

True, I was thinking of upgrading my 26 year old Ryods with Neat XL6 later this year but just listening now how good it sounds I’m not sure how much better it can get. I’ll probably go deaf before I reach Navara.
I’d gently suggest that the XL6 is too much speaker for your electronics. Anyway, that’s for another day. I’m not sure about reaching Navara though, which appears to be a Nissan truck thing.

Totally agree HH. That said, it was huge and very obvious but that does not make 272 sound broken in any way.

Thanks, Demaudio is a small company based in Italy. They work with a tailor made approach, I designed a simple sketch of the rack and they produced it quickly with customized measures and decoupling system

The rack is quite OK but I meant the beautiful set up in the second picture - the rack & system, the speakers, the colours. Really nice room!
