System Pics 2019

Like starting with a clean sheet of paper.

Ah, but what about a CD transport to the XS or Classic range or just giving an optical output to the CD5si , there are a huge amount of CDs out there and with all the streamers NAIM make an awful lot of digital inputs

Except I’ve already purchased all the kit. But when reassembling I shall be adding another power supply for the ND555 and, of course, another layer of Fraim.

Whilst I prefer the Classic look to the new range I don’t think the Core looks out of place in my system.

I am currently using a NDS whilst my ND555 is back at the Mothership in Salisbury.

When the ND555 was installed last year it did catch your eye being in the 500 series finish as opposed to the finish on the 252 but after period you get used to it anyway after about three weeks of dust they look the same.

It looks great, and I personally don’t think the Core looks out of place. Its not the same style but lets be honest most people mix brands and colours when building a HiFi! This is a system pics thread not a system criticism thread, no wonder this thread is lacking images these days. I preferred the older System Pics threads on the last forum in that sense!

Anyway back on topic! Lovely looking system. I bet it sounds fantastic! I don’t know about you but when listening to music I have images of the performers in my head and spend no time looking at my system which is offset to the left anyway and partially obscured by a chair.

Best picture on the thread! Some of us have been trying to reduce our box count, but you have thrashed us all.

Doesn’t look out of place AT ALL!

Steve, I am very pleased with the system the ND555 is something very special indeed and has taken my enjoyment of music to a level I wouldn’t have thought possible a few years ago.

My Core is now hidden upstairs but my NAD tuner and to a lesser extent the DVD5 look a bit unmatched, not helped by the fact I’m too tight to put full Fraim under either. Come to think of it the half width phonostage breaks the line a bit too. At least they’re all green, unless the tuner has drifted off Radio 3 again.

The cooker has a device that pops up in the middle and sucks the steam down and into it, it’s so powerfull the hairs on you arm are pulled towards it as your tend to anything on the rings but it’s almost silent, it’s majic. The oven and grill are so cold on the outside you can not dry a tea towel hung on the handles. I only hope it never goes wrong as I suspect it with cost several arms and legs to fix, it’s a NEFF. We do n’t fry we (sic) have been on a diet for ever

Evern worse the Whisky Society is 15 mins away and you have to pass HIFI Corner on the way there and back.

Ok.

My first Naim set up about 13 years ago.

System back then was Linn Axis/K9, CDX2/XPS2, 250.2, HiCap 2, Stageline N & Allaes. A great set up! Only the Axis from my previous system wasn’t really at the level of the CDX2/XPS2.

This is what I see when listening at the end of each night when I have been playing music from day light into darkness!
