System Pics 2019

“made”? Past tense? Has he stopped making LP12 plinths?

Just testing it all with a SuperLumina and a HiLine and it is sweet as !!!

Akurate Radikal, Keel, Ekos se and Kandid. Sounds great. Had a Xerxes before.

Top spec then! Looks the business and something to aim for. Has it been gradually upgraded or is that spec from day 1?

Hmm, you may try Devore 0/93 as well…I heard the 0/93 with solid state amps and they sounded fantastic!

It was a three year project RackKit. I started at roughly Akurate level and built from there. I am conscious of this being system pics so better post another one…

I still have my first turntable in use, purchased in 1982/83. Like the RD 80 it has design links to the LP 12.

Thank you mpw, its a bit long in the tooth now and has a few marks, but with its newish Audio Technica ‘mm’ cartridge it plays very well. I have adjusted the suspension since this photo was taken as the system seemed to have wandered off to the right a little.

Lovely @Roog - before I bought my LP12 in 1987, I had a TT2 with a Syrinx LE One arm and an AT moving mag cart (can’t remember which). I still have very fond memories of that deck.

Mine, however, looked like this, with a red rocker button power switch:

Great room @anon37685938.

I too am lucky enough to have a dedicated listening room on the side of the house so can play music pretty much whenever I want, as loudly as I want.

I have a question re your speaker placement. My room is quite narrow (sub 3m) and I’m very conscious of reflections from the side walls. You have positioned your speakers much closer to the walls than I have mine, do you suffer from the same reflections?
