System Pics 2019

I thought the same thing when I saw it. Looks just right in the room IMO.

@frenchrooster, sorry I can’t stand the look of Quadrasspire. Always reminds of something you’d serve tea & cakes off.

Sorry if I’ve offended any owners but I wouldn’t use it even if was paid to.

i had the quadraspire some years ago. It was bouncing quite itself. I replaced it by a lovan, much better for the same price.
Have the fraimlite today and on the lovan the ps and melco, too big for the fraimlite.

I was once at a dealers where I was asked what I thought of Quadraspure. Gave my honest opinion, which was detailed but not positive. Later discovered that said person was their North West rep

I think that trolley looks great, and fits in really well. I don’t understand why others don’t like it. I wonder if it’s possible to unscrew the feet and add some spikes instead. Polished steel rather than black would look really nice, and should boost the SQ a bit as well. I’m so pleased it’s all working so well, and good to see the Art Pepper, which is a wonderful record.

I have my UnitServe, QNAP NAS, Cisco switch and my BT router on my Quadraspire. All I can see now is fairy cakes.

Gonna get me an A & E trolley, just like Bob.

FWIW, I think your set up looks great and you sound much more contented than in the past. Your rack selection is a stroke of genius and for me looks much vastly better than many purpose built racks. As a suggestion, you might try turning the front casters through 90 or 180 degrees and make up some corner covers to hide them if you want to retain the rack’s mobility. In any case, well done and nice to see something different on this thread.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to respond. On the issue of spikes I’m sure it will be a very positive move both visually and sonically and as soon as I’ve finished cable swapping and have everything in order I will look into it. I’m pretty sure as an early 00’s Habitat rack that those wheels are removeable as the whole thing was almost certainly flat packed.
I’ve been looking at lots of spikes but until I find out how the wheels are fitted I’m not going to know which ones to get, hopefully those wheels are threaded which will be an easy swap and not push fit which will be more diffiult.

Sorry Nigel, it’s just the way I see things

No problem RacKit, I happen to agree which is why my Quadraspire rack is shut away inside a wardrobe.

The Klotz MC5000 are nice cables…i used them before…

But i will recommend the Belden 8402. I think its more transparent and better that way.

nice setup…

I like the trolley / rack

Leave it as it is IMO

enjoi !

I agree with Mrs. Builder; I have never liked the aesthetics of the Hutter myself, although I am sure it has sonic qualities that are good judging from the number of users here.

Hi mpw.
I did look at the Belden too but the Klotz are supposed to have fantastic synergy with the MS Audio plugs. I’ll report back as soon as I have them in my system.

Tivoli and Eriba - A winning combination!

Latest Music Room N.B. May need burn-in!

Trip to Chatham Naval Dockyard today. This was the on-board system on HMS Cavalier. Now @Bobthebuilder I don’t want you getting any ideas😊

Virtually all of the American and other vinyl which made its way across here in the early part of the 20th century was played on board before distribution in the UK. I think it was estimated that over 95% of the crates were looted prior to arrival too. It’s how much of the expertise on what was good, great or interesting resided in those who worked at sea. That authority allowed them to loot and raise the Bosch market prices long before shops got hold of them.
