Great photo AndyP. Can you imagine the records that have been played on that beautiful Garrard.
Could you see the rest of the system?
i think it’s a thorens td124 on the pic. thanks for the info.
Regret that was all I could see from door.
Guesstimate its a Garrard 301
It is indeed. And an early one judging by the hammerite grey paint.
I’m pretty sure Tony is correct that’s a Garrard.
I’m sure it’s a Garrard 301, or even a Lenco.
I think the black etched face plates and location of mounting bolts makes it a very early 301. I sold a similar one just over six months ago.
The green green glow of home…
Can’t quite believe how the change of speaker stands has reversed my preference of power amp, with the now resident 250 sounding gutsy and dramatic, but with the sweetness of the little 110. Funny old game!

My new Michell Engineering Record Clamp. I owned one of these quite a few years ago but obviously not a lot of use with an LP12 but works very well with a Technics. As well as the sonic improvement of locking the record completely flat it has enabled me to play one or two warped records that the LP12 refused to entertain.
Yes, great movie.
Some shots from the listening seat tonight. The decor is a work in progress, but sounding fabulous on the digital side right now. Albert King convincing me that he really is as funky as James Brown…
That wouldn’t be the 1972 Albert King album ‘I’ll Play The Blues For You’?
lucky guy! a dedicated listening room, with no pets and wives…
Spot on Andy!
the Wattstax version by Albert King is fabulous ( i play the blues for you)
That really is an exceptional album. In fact I’m going to give it a spin right now.
I’m increasingly of the view that all the very greatest guitarists also happen to be great singers and it’s not just coincidental. I was listening to B.B. and Freddie last night with similar blissful results. All of them play just like they sing - or sing like they play…
