System Pics 2019

Looks lovely. Surmising from your question about whether I was going to DR my 552/500 that yours is not. It’s an amazing bit of kit even without DR!

Keep the 500 mains plug as far away from everything else as you can. I just have 5 double sockets so I left the second on empty. A worthwhile tweak. You may have a separate mains block, in which case put the 500 in the wall socket.

Looking rather lovely…feet up and enjoy👍

That’s not mine - it’s @markah system.

I’d enjoy it if was mine but it’s @markah system. :+1:

one key suggestion in my experience is to find some lint either from the floor or your belly button, roll it up, and stuff it in the LED light hole on the front of the Radikal. the blue light is, as my wife said, “brutal”.

Agreed, belly button fluff is where it’s at, especially if you’re wearing blue jeans.

I don’t think I’ve submitted photos in this thread since I installed my LP12.

It’s nice and clean now, as the rack was stripped down and dusted yesterday.

You’ve probably been asked, Lanesra, but what is that rack? I really like it.

Building your own speakers, thats impressive!

It’s a custom sized Hi-fi Racks Podium Reference.

Very high WAF.

@Koko61, Is that a Hi-fi Racks rack? If so, wouldn’t it be better for you get an extra shelf to separate the two boxes on the bottom shelf? You can get shorter legs to keep your rack the same height. 150mm long legs are long enough and you will have enough space for isolation plinths or Naim glass in the future.

See my system above: @Lanesra.

It’s a cracking little system and I think you have every right to be very pleased, but I would try and add an extra shelf. Love the speakers :loud_sound:, not a brand you see that often on these pages.

It is a self-built rack. I did it when I still hadn’t bought the flatcap 2. The speakers are the Stirling MS-88, exactly the same as the Rogers ls3 / 5th 60th anniversary.
Thank you.

@Koko61, it looks great and you have joinery skills that I definitely lack!

Wow, I thought it was from HiFi racks, that is really well done. Hope you didn’t mind my comment
