Hi Maria, that’s the n-Sub. Used mainly for the AV side but has also been wired up for 2 channel too.
My best friend is not a hi fi guy at all, but a car guy. He just bought the 2020 Lambo Huracan Evo. Modestly equipped, $308,000. My hi fi habit is small change in comparison.
sorry marka - autocorrect did me there changing your name to Maria before I noticed and it was posted too long ago to edit. Not sure why there’s a time limit on editing posts anyway.
You are not wrong there, my last road car was a “red” one and that cost me enough. Drop in the ocean compared to racing though. The old saying “how do you become a millionaire from car racing ? Start off as a billionaire” is so very very true …

haha. No problem, I had a good chuckle.
Here’s my modest setup. N-272/250 DR/XPS DR/Harbeth 30.1
The layout is a compromise between what I would like and what my SOH wants!
Modest? You are modest
Modest in comparison to some of the amazing systems on here
Very nice. How do you like the Ton Träger stands. Just asking because I recently heard my system with some Harbeths with and without the Ton Träger and the difference was surprising.
Very nice system you have there, I had the same front end just last year with Sopra 1’s. How are the 30.1’s at lower volumes?,which I need in my apartment. If things works out, I am going to demo a pair this weekend. Everything I have read about most Harbeth’s though, says that they need quite a bit of distance to surrounding walls, which works in my room, how close to the front wall do you have yours?
Thank you.
The Ton Träger stands are amazing. They are superbly made; light yet very sturdy and to my mind they do make a massive difference. I highly recommend them.
Thank you. I am very pleased with the system. I’m fairly new to Naim but I’m loving the sound.
The 30.1’s are excellent speakers. They do come alive at mid to high volume, but even at low volumes they are very good indeed. I never tire of listening to them.
As you can see from the photo, they are quite close to the wall, although not in a corner and they seem to be performing very well. I would highly recommend them.
Good luck with your demo.
Like how you’ve integrated the boxes into the unit. Looks very neat.
Set up looks well. Interesting that you have the tv slightly of central to the left.
SN2 (replaced my Nait XS-Flatcap XS combo some months ago) and nDAC happily playing some late night jazz as we speak. Only problem that the empty shelf at the bottom is begging for a 555PS… Latest upgrade a pair of black Naca5. Running the cable (with soldered Naim plugs) through the cable conduit of the Dynaudio Stand6 required a bit of creativity but I managed in the end.
I finally got introduced to the “joy” of this bloody stiff cable after several years of Linn K20!
A bit of unorthodox way of connecting things but it is secure and looks safe!
I remember an interview with Richard Petty, a NASCAR driver, who years back, was the first one to win a Million Dollars in Stock Car Racing. When he was asked his reaction to that, he modestly replied, “well we only spent three Million to do it, so it ain’t no big deal”.
After almost 2 years of renovations , we’re starting to get back straight… This is very much a temporary set up but it feels good to get the Fraimlite back out today and have a good clean up . Next year I’ll look at a new stand ( probably make myself ) , a new DAC Streamer and some prober cable tidying …
ATC SCM40 Active Speakers , Benchmark DAC3HGC and Naim Uniti Core .
Really stylish combination, the XTs were always really classy looking. Bet it sounds good as well.
Thank you. The position of the TV is dictated by the shape of the room/position of the sofa. But it doesn’t look too odd.
