System Pics 2020

Don’t think so, you’ll probably just have flick your way through.

I just feel deep shame when I see other people’s rooms. I posted my a pic of my shame a few years back. Hasn’t got any better.

Thanks, will try in a little while

I know what you mean. Can you share a link, save me searching for it…

This is my main room with ProAc D20R either side of fireplace.

Speakers too close to wall, and listening position is directly against another wall so neither is ideal. Not decorated for a long time, so gives the chance to move things around a little.

A contemporary piece is the pulse oximetre which you can just make out on the small table - a sign of the times!

That was the old flat. Gave up and put the system in storage. Have some new in boxes waiting to be setup of more modest nature.

Nice. Are the Harbeths in use without any stands/feet or just placed on the floor?

On their way out so just standing there looking sad. If someone wants them :sunglasses:

How are the Tannoy’s?
What is the difference against the Harbeths?

Tried that and it stopped at post #274. A partial success. Any other options? Maybe @Richard.Dane knows how to search an entire thread and filter only those with images…

In my room and system.

Bass. It’s more of it, deeper and feels more balanced over a greater range where the 5s can sound a bit narrow and difficult to get going. The flow and dynamics are better on the Eatons.

Mids. The Eatons add more meat to voices which I lacked on the 5s. Compared to the 5s the Eaton mid is more recessed but since I found the 5s being bit too much here it fits me perfect.

Highs. The main area where the 5s are better. More air and more nimble sounding where the Eaton can sound a bit thick. A cymbal will sound more shimmery on 5s and thicker on Eatons.

Placement. Eatons are much more forgiving. The one point source on sound coming from the 10" speaker make the sweet spot much wider in the listening position than the 5s. Both height and sideways.

Overall the Eatons can play a much wider amount of music in different quality without crying out loud like the 5s. On specific tracks mainly airy, acoustic, male voices etc the 5s sound glorious. But ever since the Eatons entered I enjoy listen to music and stopped listen to sound quality and music became fun again. I believe that’s big part of Tannoys history. They are not perfect in terms of measurements but what they do is they make you smile and listen to music again. I agree fully.

Your best bet is to just scroll through from the start. Probably best done on a computer rather than tablet or phone…

@WeekendWarrior As Richard said, definitely search on a computer. Based on what you tried, I suggest you use the advanced options to put in different date parameters etc as you will need to divide up the results. Sorry, I am unsure the maximum searches that will be displayed if you do this, as I can’t test because at this time I’m replying via mobile.
