Yep.

They work.

Look lovely too. :sunglasses:

Trust me, the only person who could pull that lot over would be Arne Swarzenegger

:flushed: Have you tried anything else.

You have cats, they’ll find a way eventually. :grinning:

But once it starts going, gravity is NOT your friend!

Are they expensive? I wasn’t sure if the cost a Googled was for a set or per foot?

First Naim system, my early Christmas present. NAP 110/NAC 42, unmodified except for new PS electrolytics (the old ITTs were bulging), bias resistors, and new rectifier diodes. The old bias resistors had scorched the board on the left channel, but those simple updates seem to be the fix. Bias is steady and the amp doesn’t run hot.

Using a vintage Concept 2QD turntable, dvd changer > Entech DAC, and Sony multiband portable tuner as sources, driving refurbed AR 2ax speakers. It’s a delightful second system and my wife loves the auto turntable (the fidgety Lenco/tube/horn setup is downstairs). Very pleased to be in the Naim world.

Sold my sofa today, while waiting on new to arrive I only have an armchair. Sofa made a huge impact on sound as room now has too much echo! NAP500 now replaces NAP300.

OK, so 3.5kg of mad Burmese vs. the total mass of trafos in (a) a brace of 250’s, (b) a brace of SCaps ( c) a HCap and (d) an XPS.

Hmmm, I may be a Sparky, rather than a Clanky, but I’ve done enough mech. analysis in my time to have a good guess at who would win that particular argument. :grinning:

Edit: and all the trafos are towards the bottom of the rack, which lowers the CoM/CoG, and the floor is not wood, but ceramic tiles laid on concrete.

Interesting, I’d expect the seam/joint to be best. The middle being the most free moving/unstable. Never tested any of this though

Hi Keith,
About £550 for a set of 8 - 4 per speaker. This includes the optional tripod feet that pierce through the carpet. You may not need the optional tripod feet though.

It’s a lot more than the cost of a set of spikes or Herbies Gliders (?) but a lot lot less than a set of Townshend Podiums or Stillpoints Ultra 5. The key criteria for us were a) improved sound quality and b) visually discreet. We are very happy with both the sonic benefit and the aesthetics.

Some Naim dealers will let you try before you buy, e.g. Signals near Ipswich. Alastair ordered in a set of brand new demo Gaias for us to try. We unwrapped, tried and kept the demo set.

Best regards, BF

:small_blue_diamond:susywong,.:grin::grin: This is extremely high.

In our experience,.the higher in a hifi-rack an LP12 stands, and the more heavy products that you have in this hifi-rack…so the worse it sounds from the LP12.

So you will get significantly better soundquality when your scaffoldings comes .
And even better, would probably be a wall-shelf for your LP12.

The current setup after a couple of years faffing with Stageline, XS2, Flatcap XS and Hicap DR in various permutations, I decided my ATC SCM 11 speakers needed a bit more “oompf” and a deal on a Supernait3 too good to miss then resulted in an early Christmas present - this has got me the sound I was after. A case of less (fewer boxes) is more overall!

Yes I am well aware of the limitations…

…especially with the LP12 - after all, I’ve only had mine for 36 years*!

*longer than my marriage…LOL

:small_blue_diamond:@n-lot,…It maybe can vary depending on floor construction.
But on our floors in Sweden where I have installed hifi-rack,.so it has always gotten better when placed like this.
It’s easy to test.

• Also keep in mind,.that if your hi-fi-rack has four legs/spike’s.
So then should the front and rear legs/spike’s,.stand on the same longitudinal floor-board.
In other words,.no cormorant in the longitudinal floor-board.
