My humble XS system with recently painted back wall in Corona Orange. The painted edges need finishing, but almost there.

Thank you Seakayaker. I plan to put a small picture over the Fraim, that should finish it.:+1:t3:

Less is more! Where I live, they would probably say: Leck mich fett! Lecker einfach, einfach lecker. For Viennese sensibilities, a more appropriate response might be: Prädikat elegant.

Hope you are enjoying this splendid system in these times of enforced austerity.

Wow, that looks amazing!

Very cool, Jof! The surfaces look very hard. Will you treat the room some?
An orange shag carpet?

Hi great room however are you concerned that your Fraim stack is too close to the fire, I might be wrong but that’d give off a bit of heat.

Wonderful system Charlie. What cables are you using?

Lovely contrast of colours going on there.

Hi Pete, yes your right.

In the winter when the fire is in use, I move the Fraim away from the fire by about 300mm. That seems to be enough for the heat to get distributed before affecting the boxes.

We also have underfloor heating so I try to keep the fire burning at a steady, mild heat…not always possible mind.

The room is quite adaptable; in Winter it is very Cosey, fire on and a nice glass of Port. Summer time, the bifolding doors open the full width and it’s semi- outdoor music living with a grill and a beer. :facepunch:t3:

Corona Orange. Very topical.

The white column is a boxed in soil pipe. I have drilled a hole through the gips and behind the old iron pipe. Then I cut a piece of plastic piping the same width as the gips box and set it in the hole, then thread the Nac through that.

Also, the UServe is on the next level up and I have been putting off the project to run an Ethernet down to the ND5 due to some major reworking.

A few hard surfaces need to be controlled and I am not satisfied with my sweet spot as it’s just a Futon and not a Captain James T Kirk throne. This room is also used for guests so a Futon is the compromise.

Special colour this season?

Love the polished concrete floor, looks great!

Very impressive setup you have Bartman. I like the ornamental use of the maglites, must cost a fortune in batteries.

Lindstrom precision wire cutters.

“Corona Orange” is not its technical name, but my daughter suggested calling it that due to the constant Coronavirus isolation projects everybody’s been doing, especially painting and decorating - she felt is was apt, so we went with that.

The polished concrete floor is due for resealing this year, so that is next on the list.

Making a polished concrete floor is not tricky at all and you can add pigment to the mix, but you must have underfloor heating otherwise the constant coldness makes if feel oppressive.

My girlfriend absolutely loved this and is now taking the forum a lot more seriously
