Ah. Thanks Ken. I’ve used that product to restore furniture before. It would not be suitable for the SL2s because it is an oil / chemical based product which, when applied to the veneer, would run straight off. It works well when there is no existing finish to the wood and can absorb into the grain.
Actually, joking aside, I really think they do.
A hint of Farrow and Ball for the wall colour here?
Welcome to the forum.
Nice system, and good to see another “stockholmsbo”

Nice system
Thanks Dave! Just as well I didn’t get round to using it then! What would you recommend then for ‘restoring’ my precious SL2s? Its funny that this restorer, IIRC was actually recommended on this august forum …!
enjoy/ken
It may be that the product works well for speakers where the veneer has disintegrated. I used it on an old antique chest of drawers and it absorbed well into the grain. But pouring it on to veneer and it would just run off.
The only thing I’ve tried to bring back the original veneer lustre was some warm water mixed with vinegar and then finished with window cleaner.
This is what my SL2s veneer would have looked like when new. I know this because it is what the underside of the speaker base was like when I bought them:
The UV has since dulled that wonderful veneer finish on those bits exposed which is a real shame.
In reality there probably isn’t anything that one can rub in to restore that finish.
I have mine resealed just about a year ago. Also I use some veneer polish estalin for pretty all wooden things from furniture to fraim and dbls,
Have you considered a reconing of the bass drivers via atc? Just curious
Enjoy
I sure know couldn’t leave that uncontested though .
I didn’t want to create a confusion and perhaps upset you. So wanted to explain.
Without a doubt. What speakers are you using?
Energy 22 Pro monitors. They were developed for/by the Canadian Broadcast Corp. I bought them new 32 years ago with the LP12 and the chrome bumpers.
Now that’s a Damn Big Loudspeaker!
hello I’m using unitiqute 2 too, my screen is broken now so I can’t restore the original settings because I can’t see it, can you guide me? Thank you very much
Try to operate through the Naim App in order to make the settings.
My screen is completely dark for several years I use only the App on the phone.
If you get in touch with Naim support they should be able to give you the combination of button presses you need to make to effect whatever changes you wish to make.
During a conversation with @Debs about Cats/Carpets/SBL’s in another thread very late last night I had a like appear on my icon symbol for my Re-rackit comment earlier in this thread. This sent me to view the @RackKit picture in question which by coincidence was strangely similar in content (the system that is) to the picture that Debs had just posted. So here they both are together - looking stunningly cool!
