Hó how far apart have you got your sopra 2.
@Mr.Tibbs
I have bought this embedded linear psu to compare with the batteries if I prefer it or it’s the same the batteries it will of course be a much better solution as I can buy two matching cases.
Which doesn’t keep it from being beautiful. Sincerely, it’s the most fine piece of equipment in the room.
Beautiful lamp, great synergy between the wall’s color and the painting. Elegant. Don’t praise too much the PMCs, the Nova would make my shoes sound good…
If you get better results on battery power, then here is something right up your street if you ever want to use a MC cart - a head amp that runs off a PP3 battery. I should have kept the one I used back in the 70s as they appear to be going up in value now
Thats looks beautiful, I remember a Lentek battery powered MC head amp too.
Unfortunately I had a tear inducing accident with a Dynavector 20x2L that put me off MC’s for a good while but there are some vintage MC’s out there that don’t cost a fortune that I might try out.
A very kind fellow member on another forum just pointed these out for me £38 for a pair plus postage.
Why, when I see pictures of audio units like this one I feel a very faint hint of something like paradise lost? Why was HiFi so functionally unassuming and beautiful?
This Ortofon has a very clear resemblance with the CB-era Naim concept, but I don’t think it is the real explanation. I now understand why CB Naims are now classics and will still be in another 40 years. All of a sudden I wonder how my Heresys would sound with a Nait, and my young sunny day is spoiled…
Would anyone like to share a few photos of ‘full size’ Mu-so units in situ, especially in kitchens?
We’d thought about replacing our Qb with its bigger sibling, but the measurements make it seem like a really big unit (compared to the Qb). The width might have been okay, but the increased depth in combination looks too much.
Lovely system Chag. How did you come to using the Townshend pre amp in between everything else being Naim?
Thank you Popeye. I just took the little silver gem on trial. I swear I have tried to look back many times.
Nice to see another set of D28s on here, although your amp chain is a bit more upscale than mine. Nice system and looks like a lovely room.
Thank you DrMark. I indeed cherish these D28. One of the most sensible speakers that Stewart has made next to the D15 and D2 at the time. I must admit that I am now considering moving to the K6 Signature.
I was also a fan of the Proac 2.5s.
what’s the speakers? do you have only the Nait 2?
It’s all he needs.
