This will be my new/old listening room. Dynaudio Xeo 6 will move back to family room, waiting on a new rack. This used to be my listening room. Too long a story why I moved stuff. 4.75m x 6m

Hi Mike, I had three Cambridge Audio DAC 100all bought for one purpose to take an AV signal from the Sky Sat Dish into my Naim amplification.

All three started packing up after about eight hours, dunno :man_shrugging: if it was a faulty batch or designed that way.

In the end bought similar sized Pro - Ject which has been a happy purchase and probably rates as my best pound per sound purchase.

Pro-Ject are making some pretty interesting half boxes, from DACs to phono a lot of digital which is odd considering their business was built on analog. If I was to buy a new CD it’d be their box half box set up.

They’re been making great turn tables for years.

My latest purchase was a Pro - Ject DS2 phono stage with valves :grinning:

If I was starting afresh with the same funds I would put their CD transport with a Nova

Like Rega they started at budget but have moved their way up, I like their unfussy , reliable approach .

Best wishes

How’s Diesel?

Thanks Ian, I decided in the end to use my hardly used Uniti2 as a DAC feeding the Heed Headphone amp, keeps everything with the Naim signature and UI. Cheers.

Very pleased with it and that’s before it’s had 100 hours usage

I take it you prefer the Chord M Scaler and Hugo TT2 Duo more than the NDX2 ? I’ve just got the M Scaler and HugoTT 2 on home demo.

Sounding good so far.

One of my best hifi purchases, bluesound plex.

I am very interested in hearing more about that unit - with what do you source it?

I use it as a Roon endpoint. It’s connected via WiFi and has the battery pack on it.

It’s also a Spotify/ Tidal/ Qobuz etc endpoint as well as a Bluetooth ( and newer models AirPlay) receiver.

Normally it provides music to the kitchen.

Great little device.

Interesting bench! Very long, very thin. Do you use it for sitting on or is it mainly for putting thibgs on. D.C.?

My latest acquisition is this Uniti Atom. I bought a dealer’s demo unit for my home office, and it will be used as Roon endpoint, playing into an old pair of wall-mounted Dynaudio Audience 52SE speakers (with NACA4 speaker cable)

This replaces an Arcam AVR I was using. It had a long dead digital board, so I used it as a 2-channel receiver, and a Logitech Squeezebox Touch with Arcam rDac as a Roon bridge for it. With the Atom I replace all three devices with one small elegant box. Win win.
