Yes, I always drink my coffee or tea black/straight, no milk or sugar!
I also always preferred to stick out the little finger to keep the cup balanced. I also drink coffee that way. It makes perfect sense to stick out the little finger, as a balanced cup distributes the beverage more evenly on to the tongue and thus makes it taste more/better. IMHO of course.
Immense sympathies, one of the hardest trials to endure, keep strong.
Sorry to hear about your dad. May the rest of the year be better for you, and hopefully the Flyers will get their act together soon!
Hereās my rig. NAP 500 DRād. 552, CD 555, Wilson Sasha speakers. Notice my hockey puck tweek? Chord Music interconnects, Chord Signa
ture speaker cables.Great set up, the Wilsons look impressive.
Great system@Dan5 how far apart are the Wilsons and where do you sit?
I sit behind the table in the foreground. In fact Iām sitting there right now. Iām not in picture. Did you see the hockey puck?
Speakers are about 9 feet apart.
I always wonder how Wilson and Naim synergy is like. I am contemplating the Sabrina as it looks quite sweet. Unsure of the sound though.
Iāve always liked the Wilson sound. I had Duettes before, easy to place, excellent speaker.
The. Sashas are a great combo with Naim. They are very coherent all through the frequency bands. Perhaps a little forward for some. Bring Wilson home for demo.
On top of the CD player, reduced vibration?
I donāt know. My CD player was demo that Chris Keyser (Naim rep in US. He was in town showing the new 500 series. He had a hockey puck sitting on the CD player. I inquired as to why it was there. He kind of muttered that it helped to dampen vibration, but then offered that CD player had an outstanding suspension. He thought it fun and so do I. So itās there to provoke another discussion about tweeks.
Carefulā¦the mention of anything hockey can lead to reprimand.
They are pretty dense (5.5. to 6.0 ounces) and made of vulcanized rubber so they should have some damping qualities. Just donāt let anyone fire it into your CD player at 90 mph.
I am new to forum , also lost my mother this week and wide awake hence trawling forum . So trying to post for the first time ! New to Naim last year - moved house and have a man cave basement
NDX2 , 282, XPSDR, 250DR, Hicap DR and superlumina interconnect and speaker cable . Where do I go from here ?
Oh and Rel sub and Band W 804D3
Using Wi-fi and Naim app to stream tidal. Any other suggestions for streaming (cables/ switches) for improved sound quality
Condolences for you as well. It is not an easy time - I had already lost my mom, so as a friend pointed out to me, I am now officially āan orphanā. (He has lost both his parents also.)
Your setup looks great - I have thought to some day make my amp chain to exactly where you are (282, HC-DR, 250DR) and then I can change my streaming front end as technology improves and/or changes.
Condolences too, a hard loss for sure.
Your system is great and you have the S/L interconnect and speaker cables, so well making out that side of the system.
Are you ripping CDs. If so, Iād look at a wired connection with good quality Ethernet cables and switches and ensure a robust source - I use a Uniti Core for my NDX2.
I have tried tp link plugs and they work ok . Router is some distance away and it big house . What will stitches do . Do you mean run a cable form router to Naim ndx2
My business partner has just swapped his system( similar to this) for the 500 series . I dare not listen to it !!
I have thought about a core , but I can stream all my old albums from tidal , or will they be better quality . Will it being other advantages ?
