System Pics 2020

OK, not equipment, but the Sondek can’t sing without them…
Added about 130 pristine Classical and 70’s/80’s albums from a private collection at around £2 a disc :grinning:.
Still room for a few more, but the Kallax is approaching capacity…

It does resemble him who can’t be mentioned, pity I couldn’t just paint him out in real life.

Your next upgrade needs to be a level…

No the CD player has gone back, after a weekend of playing my CDs and not really noticing any real difference I hardly used it. Money eoukd be better spent on a new server or upgrade the XPS.

Great paintings Pete.
Re. the bulldozer. It could be my lack of understanding of cultural references, or I may just be being thick, but could you please explain it a little?

That painting is part of a series called Us and Them (well it is a music forum). I use football as a metaphor to highlight the division between right/left and how the establishment (god I sound like the Dude out of The Big Lebowiski ) use it to drive a wedge between us. It was painted before the orange one was elected and fortunately or unfortunately it always looked like him. It’s title is Us and Them, #34.

Sorry about the drift.

Pete, it’s quite a shocking image, and I was unsure what the striped outfits were about. Have now visited your site and seen more. The (accidental) resemblance to B adds to the impact. Thanks for the response, oh and nice system too! ( just in case I get censured for drifting off topic).

I see it as more playful than shocking. :+1:

Lovely system.

How did you get the fasciae so shiny? Mine look dull instead

Glass cleaner is good (like this stuff pictured) but also used WoWo’s Tyre Restorer on the black plastic and rubber

I have had great success at shining black boxes with Novus 1 polish. It’s made for plastic especially, but works very well on metal. It makes it blacker than black!

I find this stuff works very well on casework and facias - and it stays shiny and clean, unlike other products I’ve tried.

Perfect, thanks! will try this on mine.

Yes, obviously balanced and logical in keeping with the Naim ethos.
By chance, i listened to a 500 system yesterday with the wrong speakers - circa £80K worth so not 2 bob and it was disappointing vs 500 + Kudos 707.
Balance seems to be the key - i am not there yet, but live in hope :grinning:
