Love the head-fi mini rack.
And if youâve ever had your deck knocked, you know exactly how painful that can be!
No such issue if you had a Full Fraim , James. Iâll get me coat and runâŚ
Itâs even worse in a NZ accent.
âNewâ? Really? I take it you mean new to you, not fresh off the production line!
What year was it made?
yes, new to me
it remembers me my CD2, I had long time ago.
year : 1994
Cool - whatâs made you want to return to CD as a source (assuming you havenât had a CD player in a while)?
the same things that make me want to go back to film photography like Leica M4 or M6, the same things that make me want to go back to my first car, a VW Beetle from 1973.
a certain part of nostalgia
totally assumed
I think the Olive CD3-Nait3-FC was a great looking set and provided great VFM.
They did, I wish I still had all three. Now itâs just the CD player upstairs , out of use
Hello all. Here is my resting configuration with the sun coming in on an equinox morning.
An old sculpture has kept me company for 50 years. Paintings by favourite artists. The rack - LACK tables from Ikea with legs cut to 120mm, with plastic feet inserts and rubber insulation. It works well enough without taking up too much room, and if memory serves, Ivor Tiefenbrun from Lynn back in the day suggested them. The little Bugle finally came alive last night connected to a newly built and upgrade Rega P2000, Iâd given the batteries a full charge overnight after previously leaving the Bugle on and in use until the batteries drained to give the new components time to bed in.
What an exceptional little phono stage this is, it had sounded a little flat at first but the builder the excellent Stoyan of Audiopils told me to be patient with it and it just came to life last night almost everything was an improvement over my
Musical Fidelity VLPS/V PSU, soundstage, separation, detail at the cost of a little bass admittedly but that could be either the recording or the fact it isnât in a case which should be here Friday.
Ebor
Ha ha - probably went over the head of most of them !!!
If that photo was taken in the last few days, youâre three months too early/late for an equinox - I think you meant solstice (no matter which hemisphere youâre in)!
I like the sculpture on the rackâŚ
Mark
I bet that Brunetti head is sweeeeeeeeet
Itâs superb, tone to die for and great gigging amp. Light, portable and plenty of headroom/flexibility
I agree. I had CD3.5 - Nait 3 - FC for a couple years and it sounded and looked awesome. I wish I could re-build that system too.
Claude
Great photo, Christopher. I like how the hifi kit blends into the scene, rather than dominate it.
