To control the bass?
Possibly - but horizontal surfaces have but one purpose - to put things on, usually plants but sometimes ornaments or something.
I have duly listened to some chamber music with the grilles removed and frankly I could not detect any difference so the grilles will stay on aesthetic grounds .
Perhaps it’s all in my mind - sometime I think we convince ourselves, but I’ll test again
Back in the eighties there was a speaker called “Charly” from, according to Google, a company named Audioplay.
The only pair I’ve actually seen had a round cabinet, but yours look pretty similar.
Omni-Directional loudspeakers have often octagonal cabinets.
Amazing Fede
I love it! The top of that cabinet looks like the holy grail scene from indiana Jones. Nice cabinet!
True. In some cases, it even applies to brains.
Indeed, my simple ‘forest gump’ approach to life has served me well.
NDX to NDX 2 - Congratulations!
This sounds incredible
A question I find myself asking almost daily these days…
In your case, though, congratulations!
With Tablette 10 Signature. I like a fairly discrete ‘display’ of the necessary black boxes so hence the low horizontal layout.
G
The other end of the system with the new (used) NAP 250dr to compliment the ProAcs. During the lockdown I took the chance to rearrange the room, putting distance between the Naim boxes and the speakers. I didn’t care for the Linn on top of the Fraimlite so a wall shelf was the obvious answer as I don’t have a big room and space is at a premium.
Beautiful, fifty-fifty
How did you end up going with a 250DR to compliment the 72/hicap rather than an olive 250, and how do you like it so far?
