System Pics 2020

FWIW (not much) convention tends to put pre amps on the left and HiCap on the right. i.e. power supply furtherst away from volume pot.

In general analogue output stages for Naim are in the rear left quadrant of a unit and power supplies in the front right. You might swap the 72 and the HC and see if there’s a difference.

I had (still have until I sell it) a CB 250. It’s part of the over arching plan to upgrade to modern units which is a future thing. Part of the fun is planning and searching. Also the 72 has moving coil cards and I’ll have to factor a phono stage in the costs. So far it’s working very nicely but I can’t say it’s night and day from the CB NAP250.

The cables from the Linn wouldn’t reach. I’m not going to get stressed about it.

Fifty-fifty,

Planning and searching is definitely part of the fun.

The black/beech(?) Frame does a nice job of harmonizing the olive/Classic pieces and the fluted plinth on your LP12 is classic. Very nicely done. Must be fantastic with ProAcs. Enjoy the music.

Thank you. I think the wood is ash. I started this project of servicing my kit last November by getting the factory to refurbish the boxes. I’m starting to feel that it’s finally coming together and there’s still the prospect of more next year. It’s all part of the fun.

That is not what I was hinting at, but I am glad you’re able to get some good out of life.

GraemeH,

Great decor… your Tablet 10’s fit in nicely and I dig the white stands. I bet it sounds great, such a great speaker.

Yes, I know cupboard = not good but not my choice.

Our room has stone walls with solid floors so the sound is amazing.

Thanks,
Not quite original as its had a new psu, Cirkus bearing, a Kore baseplate and now sounds really enchanting if thats the right word, but the rest is circa 1979 and purchased from Naims old shop at No 11 Salt Lane.

The day I bought it, I took a photo of the shop with my OM1, now on Naims site under the ‘Our Story’ bit as I sent them a copy a few years back.

Current system in main listening room/HT area. Sadly the Uniti Nova is out of sight in the console. The Nova is driving the 2 Volti Rival speakers on the far side of the system.

The Klipsch RF-7IIIs and RC-64 III pictured are the Atmos home theater system, which also includes 4 in-ceiling Atmos speakers, 502S surround speakers, 2 SVS SB-16 Ultra subwoofers, and 2 JL Audio e112 subwoofers. The home theater gear is completely separated from the 2 channel Naim system, powered by Anthem AVM-60 and Monoprice Monolith 7 & Parasound amplifiers.

I may soon be moving to a Naim NDX 2 & Supernait 3 combo to replace the Nova. This current configuration will only allow a 2 box maximum system in the console. So if I start upgrading power supplies I will be looking for a new way to put this all together.
