System Pics 2020

Hi! They are supposed to be placed like that. They play ‘with the room’, like Audionote: )

Here is my lot after a bit of stacking re-order.

From the top:

LP12, Cirkus, ITTOK, DV TK Rua
Superline
252
300 DR Head Unit
CDX 2
Lingo 3
NDac

On this one:
NDS
Headline
Supercap powering the Superline
non-Naim PSU powering the 252
300 PS DR
non-Naim PSU powering the NDS
Unitiserve SSD / Hicap DR powering Headline
XPS 2 DR powering the NDac

Third one:

Nak CR7A
Chord 2Qute / Lindemann Bridge / Moon Mind 180
Melco N1A
non-Naim PSU for Unitiserve SSD / 120 v to 230 Adaptor for Nak CR7A and record washer (which currently is in other room).

Speakers:

Scansonic MB5 on vibrapods and thick tile.

So it seems I keep collecting boxes and am unable to get rid of them.

Anyway the music has never been better, mostly thanks to fellow forumites suggestions.

Sorry @bruss, but discussion of this particular brand of third party power supply is frowned upon on this forum, understandably. Hence the oblique references.

Suffice to say that Naim power supplies are superior in every way to a third party PSs.

Not just “frowned upon”, and not just this particular brand, but any such discussion of any non-Naim power supplies contravenes forum rules. Such devices are unauthorised modifications to Naim equipment, and will, at best, not give you the performance Naim intended, and at worst, may well damage equipment and possibly void any Naim warranty.

A daytime photo of the latest arrangement. The mini quadraspire rack to the left is just the right size to fit between the main rack and the door, to provide a bit more shelving, hide router cabling and take the core now the Radikal has ousted it from underneath the lp12 (where it shared a shelf with the lingo 1). And the top shelf is just big enough to take a melco n1zs…

The Linn Radikal Klimax looks great :+1:

Very nice, is that Quadraspire mini standard or custom made?

Same question here!

One on t’ bay recently.

Er, yes. Or no! Not entirely sure - I got the impression that it’s the same process when you order a regular sized stand in that it is made to order. You’d best speak to your dealer for a proper answer. There doesn’t seem to be a standard price list so Chris Brooks had to apply a bit of pressure for them not to charge the same price as a full size rack :flushed: but it is totally the perfect thing for the space though about 20 years’ fading of the colour would be nice

Quadraspire Midi (40cm). I have the same one for my headphone system.

It’s in the catalogue.

Finally! After many permutations during the year my second home system is now complete. Non of the original bits remain. The lp12/Ittok/Kore/Geddon/SL/HCdr/CDS/CDSPS/Nac82/HC/nap250/ linn majik109 or SBL has become lp12/aro/keel/dv x1st/urika 1/radikal/cd12/ nat01/nac52/SC/nap 135/harbeth 30.2! Chord epic/shawline cables and the Musicline powerigel has been replaced with aq niagara 3000 and PLs. Some bits bought and some bits moved from main system. I am very happy with the result. No bits sold so I have a back-up full olive system to set up in office!

What are the Q10s standing on? What is isolating them from the surface? Gap seems too small for Guru’s Soft Spot pads.

Hi there
It is homemade plywood screwed rigidly into the wall. They are a Little bigger than the Gurus, so they work perfectly for the Guru and their suplied rubber feet. When bass is deep and powerfull the room shakes, without bloom, so I think they are fit well.

Those Gurus are a lovely colour, haven’t seen them in that finish before. Is it an original finish?

Yes, it is the latest colour👍

I like that stand - what is it? (Near as I can tell it is not in your gear list but if I missed it I apologize.)

And is that you in your profile pic? If so, what kind of guitar is that?
