Now where do I sign…? ATB Peter
Well this is what my system looks like 2 days a week, prior to the Grand-Twins coming to stay. You will note the complex arrangement of interlocking boxes, which is great for dampening any SQ. These brown boxes also do not Hum, or need any electricity. You may spot the little square hole which is to allow IR to get through to the TV recorder.
I think we should keep it as it is.
In the beginning of the year there are relatively more images, later on relatively more discussion. A bit of it is fine.
Overorganising and being very strict won’t help, people will still post questions comments since not everybody is aware of the idea. It will only lead to more frustration from both sides.
Also, it is very easy to scroll down and skip text.
Brilliant solution
Sounds like you really need to monitor them
Only 11 months old. One is quite relaxed, but the other is an explorer of everything!
Just
" Photos of your system no drivel , nothing irrelevant dragged of the internet and no socks "
Most people (including HH if I understand him correctly) have no issue with some discussion, quite the opposite I’d say. It’s when someone starts putting up many random images of bits of bling-fi trawled from wherever, that really add nothing useful to the thread, is the issue. In practice then what can happen is many of us might miss a pic of a system that is really interesting, because it’s buried 5 pages back behind a load of tat.
I heard a pair of the bookshelf speakers designed by James, called Ergo, self built at a guys home from where i was buying some Linn Kans. Nice design and very well built, sounded good too.
I vote for Your system and socks pics 2021 , no socks pasted from internet.
But I normally get some new socks for Christmas and will find it very difficult to resist the temptation to show the rest of the world my sister in law’s wonderful taste !
Gary, those will probably have been the Ergo IX - a small sealed box 2-way. Quite a number have been built from scratch and in kit form, with many positive reviews out there.
Yes they looked and sounded mighty fine. I remember them being particulary popular on PFM at one time.
You see a barrier, the little ones will probably see a challenge
Ban them from the house. They can always play outside - give em a cup of cocoa to keep warm
There’s no need to molly-coddle them, you know.
Can you not remove the speaker grills so they can investigate further
A veritable fortress! But no doubt they’ll find any weak spot in a matter of seconds …
Glad those days are over for me.
Thanks Mr Tibbs, so are you saying they are DIY, or does he have an actual company that he sells them from? I wonder if he based them on Peak Consult because they also have ties to Scanspeak and Seas. My speakers also have actual hardwood on the outside too.
