System Pics 2020

Bart, I love your room and system. But is the room a little live?

Love the vases and glassware. Very tasteful and classy

The room is WAY too alive! But we have to live with it this way, for now.

Ideally we’d have a nice rug on the floor, but our dog will, absolutely, pee on one if we put one down.

And we have a love of mid-century modern furniture that is not highly upholstered. And as I wrote in an ongoing thread about sound management, we just don’t want any “odd looking” fabric-covered panels, etc., in this room. Even the most benign fabric-covered panels are on the wrong side of “odd looking” for us.

If we move house and there is a room, I can make a ‘sound room’ someday.

TT is still nearly the only source…

Which tt is that? I like the mid-century aesthetics!

@Bart, it is a Loricraft refurbished Garrard 401.

Murmur wanted messy…I think I qualify. Not helped by Xmas decs (down tomorrow), and objects to meet SWMBO happy as the black boxes multiplied, although these can be removed for a good listening session. Very aware that I need to work on some better supports and no stacking; and the dreadful mess of wires at the back . It can still sound great at times though .

Cable interconnects the issue, an expensive solution at mo.

Beautiful 401. I was showing my wife photos from Loricraft’s site  These really do it for me; that killer combination of engineering and industrial design. It’s why I like fine wristwatches; that same combo. The 401’s look really nice, but one has to design it well. Need just the right plinth. Yours is VERY classy!

That all looks superb. Definitely a space that I would look forward to spending some time with.
Maybe a big painting on that wall to bring it all together ?

Those Titan’s are gorgeous- bet they sound amazing

loving the Papa Bear chair, Bart!

Thanks! There’s another one right next to it, out of the photo  Mid-century modern furniture is one of our “things.”

Happy New Year to everyone from a smokey Canberra. The air was 26 times the hazardous level yesterday!
I suppose the only upside is having to stay indoors and listen to music all day

No change to the main system but I don’t think I’ve sent a pic of the Muso in the kitchen before.
