Hmm. I have what’s left after “friends” borrowed some, and then a divorce meant I lost my Led Zep and Pink Floyd collections amongst many others. All sold by my ex about five years ago. Still I’ve enough to be going on with and 2nd Mrs. G. brought her own into the mix.

All in all I have around 70 albums left out of 400ish. But life is too short to worry about all that now. Onwards!

Welcome in the Grand Cafe to discuss your favourite laundry detergent

First time posting images so apologies for quality.
New this year unipivot for Decca London Gold and moved Jelco with Supex 900 to left side.
The panoramic pic looks a bit weird but only way to show it all.
Hope this uploads properly.

Very nice system - love the 401. Good to see another Compass owner too :+1:

I gave someone my beloved Ruark Sabres hoping they would go to a good retirement home, instead they were blown up .

God knows how.

Thanks James it’s the usual dilemma of what sounds best/acceptable for domestic bliss and the compass succeed brilliantly at both.
But it did cost me an orangery to put them in.

Hopefully the new Nova is settling in and you’re liking so far what’s in store.

Yes, I streamed parts one and two of The Ring Cycle from R3 . Very good, wonderfully clear sound.

These are Ruark Sabres- similar to the ones I gave away .

I fell in love with them on sight, bought them unheard and they never disappointed, the sound was rich, warm and detailed. They sounded just as they looked.

Where are the whole cables gone?

It’s a shame Ruark no longer make ‘hi-fi’ loudspeakers. Their speakers always sounded very natural and musical, and the speaker cabinetry and finish was always second to none.

I still have a pair of Ruark Solstice speakers (Yew wood finish) in my second (AV) system and the finish is superb. I also have a pair of Prologue 1 speakers as rear speakers in my AV system and a pair of Epilogue stand mounters in a bedroom system.

A much lamented range of speakers as far as I am concerned!

My understanding is that it was a father and son firm, with the father being responsible for the lovely cabinet work and the son the electronics .

Now I guess it’s just the son with products made in China (though probably very good products)

These ones?

Fraim now finished - but missing ND555 and matching pair of Power Supplies. Will photograph properly then.

Why thank you. Very room dependent of course - but this is a super light room, with other bits of glossy black around the place. Just seem to work. Not too Darth Vader.
